What we have achieved is unbelievable but I think some of us underestimate the fact we probably have the best team of players in our history, they are better than many give credit for, they are the real heroes in my eyes. Ranieri deserves a huge amount of credit for this season but as he and most of the players said at the start... He didn't actually change much. In fact not 1 of our starting 11 is a Ranieri signing. If Ranieri had joined us when Sven left in 2011 I don't think we won would premier league champions right now.

I'm a massive Nigel Pearson fan but if the squad was (bar a few additions) so good already why did we finish 14th last season after being bottom for practically the whole season?

I held him in such high esteem that I never thought anyone would surpass him. But now I have to hold my hands up and say that what CR has achieved this season will never be repeated and the fact he's won us the god damn muther fvckin premier league! means he has to be our best Manager ever. (Sorry MON, I still love you)

I love MON and what he did for our club, but his accomplishments come nowhere close to what Claudio has just given us. Steven Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Holloway. He took us to the 3rd level and that required Pearson to be brought in. Pearson then provided Ranieri with the platform to move forward. So as you can see without Holloway we would still be a mid table Championship side.

I think your post is spot on,I never thought in my lifetime(am only 32) that we would emulate the o'neil era,my 9 year old daughter even said at the start of the season 'what if we won the premier league' to which I said not in my lifetime, Ranieri being the best ever manager is the easiest choice ever,how anyone can out mon above ranieri when he's achieved something no one ever has or prabable will is madness,I personally rated mon and Pearson as my 2 favourite managers prior to ranieri,but what we've achieved under his management is simply unbelievable

Even ignoring the skill, tactical ability, ability to cope with loss of form, injury, suspensions and other factors, he won over the squad. That is a very hard thing to achieve. You need to get the players to believe in you and he's managed that perfectly. A pundit was correct when he said no player sulks after being substituted, everyone is raring to go when they are available. He is the best manager we've had without question. This is his work.

You do realise that our current manager won the biggest prize in English football, that we havent won in our history, and that some clubs have never won, right? You do realise that although Pearson was a good manager, that far outweighs anything he did, right?

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 This being the highest honour, in the world's toughest league, it will never be surpassed, nor likely to be achieved again by the likes of ourselves. Thus there is not even the slightest doubt, that Claudio is our best ever manager, regardless what people may think. Facts speak louder than words. For almost a lifetime I thought Matt Gillies was the best, but I cannot say that now.
