dorsetboy Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 thought he was excellent today chased balls down and held it up well and held his nerve to score the penalty . hes got his knockers and its a shame vardy is out against swans but hopefully leo will get the nod to play the full game as he fully deserves it
HankMarvin Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 A little excessive Good at holding up the ball, balls of steel for the pen, But like having a prize racehorse thats legs are shot
TheSomersetFox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Watch him play shit against Swansea with someone creating a Leonardo Akinbiyi thread straight after. In all honesty, he has his annoying moments, but it's impossible not to love him. Scored quite a few big goals for us in the last couple of years, so i've no worry about him stepping in for Vards. Hope we belt out his song for him next week.
Captain... Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 A little excessive Good at holding up the ball, balls of steel for the pen, But like having a prize racehorse thats legs are shot His legs aren't shot he just isn't really fast, never has been, as long as he remembers that and lays the ball off and brings others into play and not try and run past players.
KFS Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Love Leo. When we first signed him I really wasn't sure and it felt like a strange signing, but he's a really cultured striker and has a few dimensions to his game. The biggest compliment to him would be that I'd have him as a squad player for the CL and I can see him scoring one or two in the competition.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Will be decent against Swansea to see how he gets on given a full 90 minutes. We will obviously miss Vardy, but Ulloa should profit from Albrightons crosses more than Vardy and Okazaki normally do.
FireFox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Didn't put a foot wrong today. Kante was my MOTM, but Ulloa was a close 2nd.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Excellent display today from Ulloa. Good close control, his first touch was great, held the ball up for others, as well as bringing others into play. His defensive work was also useful. The calmness in which he converted the penalty was superb, and it was great peno too. Agree with FireFox - him and Kante were my MOTM's.
ithuriel Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Has been the Ulloa of last season since the Norwich game, just cant get into the first team but now is his chance.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Was outstanding today, held the ball up so well and battled hard for everything. Superb penalty in the circumstances too, was glad Mahrez wasn't on the pitch to take it!
kierant Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Thought Leo was class today......did pretty well to hold it up and bring others into play when there was no one else up there with him!
midland_red Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 I never forget that it was Ulloa's goals which were key to keeping us up last year. I think for much of the season he seemed to have lost his confidence but after Norwich he does seem to have bounced back. The calmness and courage of that penalty was exemplary
Ralph Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Leo got his chance last season when Nugent injured himself in warm up about 5 games before the end of season. He did well then and deserves his chance this time too. I have a feeling CR will put Riyad up front with Sinji though.
ealingfox Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Ulloa understands the way we are trying to play and does his best to fit in with it. Do wish he was getting into the box more tho. Takes a good pen too!
UPinCarolina Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 I really, really want Ulloa to do well. Not just so that we can take 3 points from the Swans, but also because I feel it will drive home that this season has been about the efforts of the whole team, including players who have been asked to take on reduced roles. Everyone has contributed; everyone has a purpose and job to do.
Chester Dontlie Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 His name is Leo and he scores against West Ham Next year its Real Barca Paris Saint Germain And when he shines he really shows you all he can Oh Leo, Leo hear us shout across the land! Hopefully Ranieri plays both Leo & Shinji against Swans
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 Yet another City player with an incredible attitude and work rate. He's not first choice anymore, yet comes on and gives his all. Utterly superb today at a time when we needed to keep the ball and to keep going.
Izzy Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 I love Leo but I'd start with Kram up front against Swansea. Oh, hold on a sec....
ballisimo Posted 17 April 2016 Posted 17 April 2016 We might find that Leo potentially will sit deeper in the Okazaki role and shinj in the Vardy role. So we may see something a little different from Okazaki of given the chance to be on the last man.

Leo showed his cojonestoday though.... was great when he came on and a great late penalty goal
