Always Next Year Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Before I send you off, can you tell me how many yellows I have given you.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 He's not too bad to be honest, I'm expecting this to go a little better than last Sunday in terms of referee performance,
KFS Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Not to jinx it but Clattenburg is the best ref in the Prem in my opinion
foxfanazer Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Not to jinx it but Clattenburg is the best ref in the Prem in my opinionPrefer Michael Oliver but he is decent
Matt Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 That was regarding last weeks games, thus why we ended up with one of the leagues most inept referees. It'd be interesting if one of the 'top' clubs were involved in a title fight as to whether the better referees would have been made available, I'd like to wager a large sum that they would have been.
fazzyfox Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 I suspect Swansea will highlight any physical contact at set pieces with that being theme of the moment, hopefully Clattenburg will spot everything or spot nothing, not just a random selection of them (of the ones that are fouls) like Moss did. They will try to push Huth's buttons, I hear things got a bit heated after the away match we don't need another bunch of petty spiteful provocators after last weeks mob of neanderthals one moment wimps the next. I worry more about Vardy when he returns ever winning penalties again, I can see it going the way of former Palace striker Andrew Johnson who by the end couldn't get one if he was shot due to the exposure of his previous dubious attempts to claim one. Watching Moss try to keep up with Arsenals breaks last night was laughable, along with Sanchez there were two awful refs on the pitch! At least Clattenburg will be able to cover the pitch properly by reading the game and running in intelligent diagonals, not charging around like a fat bloke chasing a burglar.
RowlattsFox Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Every ref is OK until he gives a decision against you, then he is shit. Ask Chelsea fans what they think of clattenburg. I think he's one of the better ones though.
Fox92 Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Clattenburg and Oliver are the best in the Prem. You won't find me complaining about this appointment.

Leicesterpool Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Done a decent job in the games he's refereed the only bad game he had was the West Brom 2-2.
ramboacdc Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Done a decent job in the games he's refereed the only bad game he had was the West Brom 2-2. thinking back to that game i can't think of anything that stands out apart from berahinio having his strop?

West Ham were trying it on from the start and we matched em. You're right that Moss would have been better off giving nothing of importance and letting both sides fight it out than pissing everyone off with his inconsistency. I don't even think the players would have minded if they'd seen that was the official's approach. Both were clearly up for a contest.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Clattenburg and Oliver are the best two refs in the league for me.
Swarles Barkley Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 I deeply hope this thread doesnt reach "my mate is the ref tonight" territory
Mythyaar Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Happy enough with him. Doesn't make too many mistakes, and won't let the event get to him.
TonyN11 Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Seem to recall he's been pretty good for us in the past
Royston. Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Not to jinx it but Clattenburg is the best ref in the Prem in my opinion my dog has the best smelling shít in the park
