I'm nearly in tears... I'm man enough to say it.

We are three points away (as things currently stand) from being the CHAMPIONS of England.

What I've been praising us for - the crowd being able to hide their nerves from the players - the opposite was so evident tonight, the atmosphere was so flat and edgy, you're supposed to roar home the points, encourage the team, lift them, drive them on, very nervous all round. WBA, what a second half, great professionals, an effective Pulis rollocking at half time I presume.

Absolutely massive credit to West Brom and to Tony Pulis.

Pulis is a typical object of ridicule on football forums for his pragmatic style.

Fact is, he has barely had any talent to work with in his career, and he gets the most out of what he has available.

And tonight, hes taken a team with nothing to play for, hes got them motivated and organised against a team challenging for the title, and hes masterminded a typically Pulis-like dogged, battling performance.

Yes, they rode their luck, but in the second half they had a decent go, and got their rewards.

Top marks to their professionalism. I said before the game Pulis' teams never get tanked in the way Stoke did last week in their "tough place to go".
