cityfanlee23 Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 I'd take deeney for maybe 15myou could spend a worse 20m but he would certainly be a powerful partner for Vardy and would buy into the ethos. Bolasie the same, Quality on his day but I worry about his decisions, not at 20m.
lgfualol Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 No thanks. Bolasie can barely be arsed to run most times I've seen him.
tsintskaro Posted 8 May 2016 Author Posted 8 May 2016 So you were talking about Musa deal and besides do not like Deeyney?l ol Troy ten times better than Musa and Bolasie can take whole left side, much better than Albtighton or Schlupp,or both at a time
lee7 Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Not for 40 million. I think Deeney is better than Ulloa and Id quite like Bolasie here as he always looks a threat no matter who he's up against.
Frank_mckenzie Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 If you could get bolasie for about £15M then I think it would be good business.
surrifox Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 we can do so much better than Bolasie for that sort of money
Mezeker Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 you people on here are on crack. 40 million for this sigh. West Ham targeting Icardi and we target this garbage.
Babylon Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Both fit us perfectly, right mentality and should fit into the squad mentality. Both done well in this league and I like keeping an English core to the squad. Yes you can get others cheaper from abroad, but it's always a bit more of a risk.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Don't see the hype with Bolasie he is a work shy Schlupp imo. Add to that he has had injury problems and has the consistency of a ten-sided dice I can't see him being all that.
Stevosevic Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Bolasie plays in the middle of a 3 doesn't he behind the striker? Or am i thinking of Puncheon....?
Sharpe's Fox Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Bolasie plays in the middle of a 3 doesn't he behind the striker? Or am i thinking of Puncheon....? Yeah you're thinking of Puncheon, he plays left sided where he looks good coming inside or up front sometimes where he looks hopeless.
Stevosevic Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Yeah you're thinking of Puncheon, he plays left sided where he looks good coming inside or up front sometimes where he looks hopeless. Thanks. We already have 4 wingers so I'm not sure its a an area we need to strengthen with a big signing. A number 10 has to be priority so I'd be more excited about Deeney.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 I'd welcome Bolasie for certain. He'd suit us very well given our style of play, and I don't think he would have to adapt too much as Palace play a similar type of play to us. Deeney would be decent, but not sure Watford would either sell him or if he would want to move on.
Gerard Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Both players nearer 30 than 20 and not a significant enough upgrade on what we already have to justify that spend. It's a big NO THANKS from me. My ambitions for us next season is to be fighting for a CL spot, these are not the players to get us there. With the money in the PL now then pursuing PL players who are at clubs that don't want to sell is never going to be VFM.
Lcfcrory Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 I'd take both of them but I think there are better options available for that kind of money
Fox92 Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Not bothered about Bolasie, I think he's overrated, but definitely would take Deeney.
matty98 Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Won't Bolasie be at AFCON? Is it really a good idea having 3 wingers which could potentially be gone
Frank_mckenzie Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Won't Bolasie be at AFCON? Is it really a good idea having 3 wingers which could potentially be gone That is a great point sir, with schlupp , Amartey and mahrez possibly going to afcon it does need to be considered with future players.
atomicfox Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 We need to buy players who will fit into the drive and ethos of the team, deeney is the sort of player who I think would drop straight in.

Presumably you thought players like Albrighton and Vardy wouldn't win us the league. I can't actually believe we still get comments like this.
Nick Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Deeney I'd take but I had hoped for better as a first choice number 10 but he would be amazing for the squad. Bolasie meh. We need 100% commitment players every game. Not sure he fits the bill.
Danizen Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Both great players and would definitely add to what we've got here but the combined price is crazy and it's not even confirmed that we'll get them for that. Watford and Palace would take us for a ride.
Gerard Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Presumably you thought players like Albrighton and Vardy wouldn't win us the league. I can't actually believe we still get comments like this. Correct, I didn't think Albrighton & Vardy would win us the league when we bought them, did you? By point still stands that I don't think Bolasie and Deeney are a big enough upgrade on what we have to blow the vast majority of our transfer budget on. I'd rather look elsewhere for better quality or better potential for the prices quoted.
Steven Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 I think there are cheaper, better and as yet unknown players out there.
