Why on earth would a young man want to live in one of the world's most vibrant, prosperous and entertaining cities with £140k a week pocket money when he could stay in Leicester?

He doesn't live in Leicester though.

He would NEVER have had a movie and headlines and international prominence if he had lived in that city last year.

Leicester players can live where they want. Some live in Manchester some in Leicestershire and i think one or two in London.

So stick that in your smog infested city and smoke it.

He said he'd rather eat a microwaved Rustlers hamburger and watch TV than be in a fancy restaurant. I don't think he'd move to central London to appreciate the architecture either.

He lives a quiet life in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside.

He may move to Arsenal for the money.

He may move to Arsenal for the prestige

But he won't move to Arsenal for the lifestyle.

It isn't all about money guys, if it was he would have already accepted an offer rather than holding fire on much lower pay for the next few weeks. I'm sure he'll be wanting to make the right overall decision

Am I the only person who thinks London is a bit shit?

It's entertaining for a day but after that I find it too hurried and the people are insufferable.

And the weather is still as crap a everywhere else.

If money was no object and I wanted to live somewhere different I'd move abroad or not bother.

Try saying that after the brexit.

Didn't realise Barcelona, one of the Paris sides,Madrid or Roman sides or Bayern had put a bid in for him

Well he's 29, married with three kids in the household who are all currently schooled in the area.

Different circumstance to a single, 22 year old

The arsenal troll is almost certainly knocking one out at all our responses.

With WW3 nigh it won't be long before people are eating eachother in London. Stay well away from the shitehole if you have any sense.

Saw this earlier, he actually says that he thinks Vardy won't get picked because of a lack of experience. Koscielny has also been talking about what a good signing JV would be to the French media- pretty dismissive considering we are the Champions.

That said, Wenger commenting on JV's lack of experience is an interesting tactic on his behalf. Not sure I'd want a prospective manager saying that about me if I was thinking of moving clubs. Doesn't exactly scream 'you're the man' does it?

I seriously think that Wenger has a problem because we won the League and they blew their opportunity.

You are really easy to deceive by the media. Those comments by Arsene Wenger are from this document aired month ago:

https://www.reddit.com/r/footballhighlights/comments/4iw2k7/the_greatest_teams_by_arsene_wenger_england/

At the end he is asked about best english players for the upcoming Euro 2016, Vardy question is there too. You know what was the only thing that Wenger said?

That Vardy is ready quality-wise and he has the form, he is just not experienced enough with the international-level play to rely on him with the whole tournament.

So how many times Vardy was in the english team for the international tournaments remind me.

It's nothing to do with being deceived by the media. Still seems an ill-advised comment if he was planning on trying to sign him a month after don't you think? Usually a manager has the good sense to flatter a player he's planning on pursuing in the very near future.

Also, I'm not sure what you want reminding of as that last paragraph makes no sense but seems like it might be a question.

I live here and it's a pain, too busy, too hassled, too overcrowded. Also, as someone that famous I'd imagine it's quite difficult to get around without being bothered by those who admire and despise you. I'd be for the quiet life.

Whinger has a problem because he knows next season Chelsea and the Manchester clubs will come on strong, Spurs and West Ham are also closing in on Arsenal. Arsenal giving it the big one to little old Leicester because they know when it comes to the Manchester clubs and Chelsea they are out of their league. The rise of Leicester,West Ham and Spurs challenges their rightful 4th place finish.

The London is shit argument holds no weight unfortunately. What percentage of footballers for Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea live *in* London? Sure, the 21, 22 year old single millionaires, but not many of the older, married family men. It's an hour and a half drive from Melton to Arsenal's training ground. I commute longer than that each way every day. It's not a factor.

He wouldn't live in London, he'd live somewhere like potters bar like all the arsenal players. Basically a big suburb. Not enough schools in central London if you have kids and they have to be super smart to get into them

That year, after years and years of trying, when finally you finish above Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool and then leapfrog Tottenham on the last day of the season.................................................

Only to find Leicester fucking City are 10pts clear at the top.  lol

181 pages? That all, I've been out, bought a paddling pool, blown it up, fill it, strimmed the grass, can't feel my arms, and filled a bath up and it's only got to 181 pages? What's the latest?

Not overly concerned myself anymore. All players are replaceable with equal or possibly improved talent if they fit the mindset of this team. Would we repeat with the main transfer targets staying put? Maybe but doubtful. Can we find capable replacements? Absolutely.

Have confidence in the Leicester team beyond the players. They seem to have a way to get the job done. If Vardy and company leave, I'll be a little choked but there's no doubt in my mind with the forces that be, we will bring in the players we need to be a strong team in the Premier League for years to come.
