Didn't get much game time last season when fit, similar other who have done well this season. Woy is no Claudio, he wouldn't get the best out of him + possibly stuff his confidence. Vardy will play on the last defender even if he's told to play in goal.

Yes Danny is exceptionally unlucky and deserved to go on form this season but it was a massive decision either way. he has gone for players he knows and trusts now he will be judged by his decision time to take in on the chin and get behind the lads. Trust to do what exactly? 6 out of the 8 midfielders we have included in this current squad were part of the embarrassing 2014 World Cup squad. They failed then and they will fail again this summer. Just for a change why not pick players who are playing well for their clubs. After all it's obviously not worked in the past picking players who play for the big clubs.

Guest ttfn Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 It's not Wilshere people should be getting their knickers in a twist about - he's a totally different type of player to anything else we've got and I can understand why he's been picked. He's at least shown glimpses of being a top quality player in the past who you might make an exception for. The Henderson selection is absolutely scandalous. When "on form" (last seen, 2013-14) he's basically the same player as Drinkwater has been this season. So, all things being equal, had Drinkwater and Henderson both had decent seasons I could understand him getting the nod. But Henderson has had a poor season and Drinkwater has had an outstanding season. Henderson has been injured for 2 months and even before that was struggling in Klopp's Liverpool team, frequently being subbed after an hour or less. Throw in the fact that we're already taking a risk on a midfield player with no match fitness and the Henderson selection looks like utter lunacy. Oh, and surprise surprise, yet another article on Football365 downplaying a Leicester player's achievements this season. Apparently the fact that Drinkwater "only performs when next to Kante" is reason enough for him to be left out.

Came away from World Cup with 1 point against a team who had already qualified (we were sh1t) for example played Milner at right back in last friendly when he was never ever gonna play right back in the tournament ( therefore what's the fvcking point?). 3. Has learnt nothing in 50 years that taking unfit players has never worked and never will especially after playing minutes of football all season. Most high profile job in football means you need to be intelligent (take players that are unfit and we'll be sh1t) 4. Has made two statements to the nation that have royally p1ssed me off A. Needs the experience of Wiltshire and Rooney. (What experience is this he talking about? How to come away with one point which equates to a mighty 1 out of 9) and B. My personal favourite "Ally is very likely to go as he plays with and supplies Harry Kane (don't think I need to respond to this one) 5. Don't get me started on how much better I think Albrighton is than lallana and how more dependable and defensive minded (which is needed) Simpson is compared to walker or Clyne. 19 yo plays 9 games scores one goal and is on the plane (he won't play a game Imo) Will never turn back on country but it's club first and to load a squad with players that finished 3rd (10 points behind the team with the players that have missed out) Is a major two fingers up to my club and therefore my interest in this tournament is naff all

England have not done anything of note since the 90s and it is little wonder when you have managers who make Mike Bassett look like the real thing.

Christ.I'm pretty sure nearly everyone on here has made the point it's not just about Danny.And used some good examples such as Germany and Spain and France.... France Taking and building their squad around in form Kante and Payet. Spain dropping 5 "key" players because of poor form. Of course I'm annoyed Danny isn't there, but id accept it more if one of Wilshere or Barkley was chopped with him.
