nnfox Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 I've already said it but I think the most baffling thing about all this is Rashford's inclusion in the squad. Every single person I've spoke to since the game at the weekend thought he had a poor game other than the goal which was a lucky deflection that required a tap in to score. The rest of the game he spent losing the ball and falling over, he created nothing for the team. The complete over hyping he received on the night I was just sitting there thinking 'Have I just watched the same game as all these pundits?!?' And now there's actually people out there thinking he should be starting up front with Kane, have people lost their minds?!? And all of a sudden he's being whisked away to the Euros, unbelievable And it is made worse as before that game Woy said it would take something very special for Rashford to make the 23. Hodgson has a terrible plan A with the diamond. A bad plan B with 442 and nothing else. Watching England in the Euros should carry an 18 certificate. Gonna be brutal!
mozartfox Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Woy Hodgson MBE - Maximus Bell Endios. WTF is he smoking or snorting? Have a nice rest Danny and put your feet up. You are better off recharging your batteries than enduring that Bell- End for the next few weeks.
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Henderson in. How many points behind Leicester did Liverpool finish? Wilshere I just about get. IF he keeps fit he can be creative. Henderson on the other hand is possibly the most bang average English international midfielder in years. But he plays for Liverpool. My loathing of Roy Hodgson grows stronger.
thegaffa Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Absolutely p**sed off with Danny being left out, and it's not because I am bias because he is a city player. It's because: 1: this shows bias towards the so called bigger teams( even though we convincingly won the league) 2: what image does this promote for English players who perform well over the course of a season in the most demanding league in the world. 3: it encourages top English players/ talents to leave their club and join one of the F.A favoured/loved clubs. 4: with the above point it not only hikes up the market price for English players, but it affects the national team as the better English players join the so called big teams knowing they have a better chance playing for country or because of the high wages and inevitably the players stagnate. 5: Roy is a c*ck and the F.A is a joke and always will be.
Babylon Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 The squad is an absolute mess from top to bottom. I look at that jumble of players and struggle to put them in any coherent system that I think might work, with or without Drinkwater.
Donut Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Lets be fair though, its not JUST about one team finishing above the other. Its about having balanced options to use within the squad. But Drinkwater should have been in

Whats plan C then? 4-2-3-1 has failed too. In short, were going to fail.
The Guvnor Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 It's Woy Bodgeson the stupid old bast**d what else did you expect.
Merchant_Banker Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 To be honest I'm not surprised the squad is picked on shirt sales and marketing end of. It must be its the only thing that makes sense. Rashford will be like when we talk Walcott all those years ago, he wont get on the pitch. Team will be something like this... Hart Walker Cahill Smalling Rose Dier Barkley Milner Rooney Sterling Kane Sturridge Which is truly shocking. Now to find some Irish / Welsh blood and support teams that are picked on form. 4-4-3? We might actually win with that.
GloverFox Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 ... I'm totally pis@ed off with that selection ... Wilting-shire (as fragile as the China in a shop with a bull in it) ... Henderson (average at best this season) and Sturridge (1 game and I'll hobble out again) and Stirling-ly (lightweight who couldn't break into a side that came where in the league?) ... against a midfield giant this season ... Banging form and commanding midfield enough to see a 'no-chance' team win the premier league at a canter (... Yes, ten points clear is a bloody canter before any smart-Arsenal (arse ... even auto correct got it!!!) critic says otherwise!) ... Roy ... You've got that wrong you muppet ... Go back to your FA buddies and the 'big' team selectors you are in bed with, tw@t! Just totally lost interest in the whole england set-up .... Bloody amateur boys-club ...
goose2010 Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 4-4-3? We might actually win with that. only chance we do have is to sneak an extra man in!
foxfanazer Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Shows Woy and the FA for what they are. Embarassing really but let them get on with their inevitable failure
willie-bell-in-rothley Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Never rated the man as a manager, just a puppet for the FA , he will be gone after this competition, England wont suffer when he has, just hope we get someone who dosent go to every Spurs game,
Babylon Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Do we even know what our favoured formation is? If it's 4-2-3-1... why take 5 strikers and no wingers. If it's a 4-4-2 diamond, why take the likes of Barkley, Llana, Rooney who all would want to play as the 10. It's like we're trying to pad the squad out to play two formations and managed to end up with two shit options rather than one decent one.
GloverFox Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 ... Sorry about my rant, but I am seriously miffed off ... not because Drinky is a Leicester player, but because he truly deserved and earned the chance .... Seriously poor decision!
Guest FriendlyRam Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Think last time I felt passionate about England was 2002. The new kit is the most exciting them about them now. have to agree. that was when I was still at school and it was just more fun back then, probs the last tourno that was blind hope, now its a case of you know their sh*t and ain't gonna win. nowadays kids in school support Spain, Germany or whoever their fav player plays for, I support a team I'm financially going to benefit from . England are just plain boring and the set up is a joke, fat man rooney is the focal point again.. same old sh*t.
foxfanazer Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Never rated the man as a manager, just a puppet for the FA , he will be gone after this competition, England wont suffer when he has, just hope we get someone who dosent go to every Spurs game,We'll get a carbon copy of Hodgson don't you worry yourself about that
sharpylcfc Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Hodgson hasn't got a clue. Drinkwater deserved to be in the squad after his performances over the season. Better than Wilshere etc. Hodgson out.
fuchsntf Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Rant time... Rose Dier ALI and Kane no doubt, they lit up the PL. Vardy, so obvious.Rooney I still like him for the midfield. Defence, not many knocking on the door, so Roy gets away with it. But FFS..Sturridge, Henderson, Wilshire, best candidates for Casualty, not Euros Sterling,...Simply WHY !!!! Townsend in 6 games has shown more and no 50mil. Barklay who a couple of seasons ago looked the man!! Now just a wuzz. Lallana, I would chose him, he has some good ball skills and as the unexpected in him. Roy had a chance to make a mark, he blew it and not just on Drinkwater. But on the Spurs choices he got it right, them and Vardy could well be carrying our hopes. For the fans hopes, I just hope Wilshire can get match fit and play at the level we need and now selected...expect!!! The poor choices..Henderson, Sturridge, Sterling, Milner, Barklay. 2 maybe but not all four. Rashford,I let ride , hes the one next to Vardy or Kane who can give us impact from sub bench. .
VLC86 Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 We'll get a carbon copy of Hodgson don't you worry yourself about that An actual saggy scrotum as manager?
foxfanazer Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 An actual saggy scrotum as manager?Yeah. Whats Redknapp up to nowadays?
stox259 Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Shows the difference. Kante not only makes the French squad but they are building a tactical plan around him. He has displaced some quailty French players to do that based on his title winning midfield performances for Leicester. Drinky for England can't even get in the squad! Not even in the squad. And the players in front of him wouldn't be able to lace some of the French players boots. And the media wonder why we haven't won anything since 66.
Ric Flair Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Do we even know what our favoured formation is? If it's 4-2-3-1... why take 5 strikers and no wingers. It's like we're trying to pad the squad out to play two formations and managed to end up with two shit options rather than one decent one. Yeah that's what I've been thinking. Barkley, Rooney, Sterling and Lallana are competing for 1 spot in a diamond. I'm just baffled how Townsend hasn't got in as he's the only one who offers genuine width and actually does well for England. Drinkwater should have gone too but to be honest he wouldn't do a lot in this shambles, Vardy is unlikely too either. It's incredible.
foxy boxing Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Disgracful from Woy but not unexpected, has Barkley done enough 2 get in? The only silver lining will be he is fresh for us next season
