Guest ttfn Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 In all seriousness, think Slovakia look better than Russia on today's showings. I like the look of Kokorin (sp?) but the rest of them were shit. Their striker, the big lad, is the worst striker we've seen so far. I think you're right, I actually reckon that Russia are the worst team in the group after all their injuries.
Donut Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 wouldnt go that far how many england chances second half?? Enough chances. Russia's keeper made one of the best saves ive ever seen from Rooney, we had the free kicks around the box, one of which we scored, and we were always in and around the box. In the first half we were cutting them open at will.
Kinowe Soorie Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Was one of the biggest false results youll ever see. Woy set the team up well, great balance, Rooney was great in the deeper role, Sterling quiet granted but Dier was terrific in the middle and Rooney was dictating play. We created buckets of chances. We were undone by one, speculative looping header that goes 10 foot over the bar 99 times out of a hundred, and was the only effort on goalthey had other than speculative efforts from 30 yards. The result was highly unjust. Donut by name, Donut by nature!
DennisNedry Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Can anyone seriously tell me what Sterling and Lallana give your team that Albrighton couldn't? Zero end product. They play for Man City and Liverpool
Corky Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 All this celebrating the opposition goals is odd though.
casablancas Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Blind as they come No. Just not full of blind faith and an unbiased view.
Guest ttfn Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Absolutely this, people just see what they want ... but the facts are Russia were outclassed for large parts and got one of the luckiest points I have ever seen Russia were dog shit and we still couldn't beat them. How many clear cut chances did we actually miss? Any? Their keeper made a great save from Rooney but apart from that we created bugger all.
foxy boxing Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 We all knew the defence was the weakest link in the chain now Woy is going to be strangled by it we need better link up play to hammer the goals in and stop us being banged out of the competition
Brooksy Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Still can't believe Vardy didn't get on. Perfect situation for him too. Indefensible from Hodgson, he has to go.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Not bringing a sub on at any time before like 75 mins is unforgiveable Kane didn't play well whilst Lallana can't shoot and Sterling is dog shit
Lesteban Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 So angry, they created nothing all game then nick a draw in the dying moments. That's my accumulator ****ed too. Mine too. Probably thousands of Accas killed. Don't know why I relied on us tbf.
Donut Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 It really wasn't unjust. England didn't deserve to win ... End of. England did more than enough to win the game. They were excellent for almost the whole game.
foxes21 Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 why did we not use more subs. Its a tournament, we need to keep players fresh not burn them out unnecessarily.
Izzy Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Joe 'take the positives' Hart. He's a positive chap. I like his positivity...
Tielemans63 Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 I think the players played well on the whole but Hodgson...oh my God, are you an actual retard? I'm not a fan of Rooney but he was our best midfielder and he was hooked at a bizarre moment. Lallana played okay but was ****ed after 60 mins and played the 93 minutes despite contributing next to nothing in the last 30. Kane was shit and played 93 mins. When we went one up it was a perfect opportunity to bring on Vardy and maybe play a bit deeper whilst giving Russia something to think about. Instead Roy takes off our only outlet in Sterling and invited pressure by bringing on Milner. I could see that equaliser coming a mile off and it is literally Hodgson's fault. ****ing brainless management. willy puller. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Jimothy Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 We created absolutely loads of chances. We could have easily scored 4 or 5 on another day. Grand total of fvck all? weve been undone by one looping header Apart from the save from Rooney what else did we do. We got to final third a lot and they Sterling ran into a player or we gave it away. When we got a corner Kane lumped it out for a throw in. Simple not good enough. Russia were there to beaten and beaten well, but we sat on a slender 1-0 lead. We've got 49 goals in two of our strikers this season, one started and played shit, so you leave the other on the bench all game. We got everything we deserved.
Donut Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 This thread is absolutely ridiculous. The deliberate negative bias is incredible. How can anyone possible argue England werent the better team by a million miles in the game, and Russia must be thanking God for their equaliser.
Turtles Head Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Boring. No idea why commentators were insisting we were brilliant
casablancas Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 England did more than enough to win the game. They were excellent for almost the whole game. Tell me then... Why didn't they see the game out? Please tell me how much of an impact Stering had? Ali? Kane? Lallana? At least walker and Dier were on form.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 I liked the Russia goal, it reminded me of watching Huth score his second at the Etihad. Watching Hart stand there looking lost.
yorkie1999 Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Overpaid, overhyped and over Hart's headSame look on his face when huth scored.
Matt Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 All this celebrating the opposition goals is odd though. Even though I did it, I can't commend it. However I want the idiot in charge out, if that means losing games, going out in the group stage, so be it, because I can't see many positives in England as it is, but with him in charge they're going no where. The blokes a dinosaur. This goes further than Vardy not playing, take Vardy out of the equation and I still have a long list of things I just don't understand and agree with then it comes to Woy.
MC Prussian Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Was one of the biggest false results youll ever see. The result was highly unjust. Well, it was 0-0 up until the 73rd minute and that free-kick for England was a debatable one. Referee blew rather late for a foul. Up until then, England dominated, but couldn't get it to work and I think a draw is a fair result, given the fact that you huffed and puffed and still couldn't blow the Russian house down. Akinfeev also had a stunner of a game - great reaction to Rooney's shot.
