fuchsntf Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 What are you on about Rooney was subbed off... and had a great game tonight just go away if you aren't going to properly analyse the game Agree Rooney had a great game, Hodgson nearly got it right, but Sterling again flopped. With Milner coming on I would of also have subbed Kane, for either Vardy or Sturridge. Changes, Wilshere for Lallana, Sterling back to the bench. Vardy and Kane have to team up against Wales. Forgetting the silly Russian goal, this was one of Englands better games. My only real complaint, Kane taking corners and free kicks from the sides. This might make the players nervous now, when facing Wales, if they had won, they would of been more relaxed in the next game. That said they have been chosen to be our Internationals, there should be no panic. It will be an English PL game, blood n guts. This must be set up for Vardy..!! Rooney would still be in the starting midfield, with Ali and Wilshere.
Donut Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Give up mate. You haven't got a clue about football, your post over the last few years have proven that. We couldn't score an open play goal against Russia and then let them come back us with negative tactics. We were like Joey Tribbiani with errectile disfunction. All the great build up work but no end product. We could have easily won the game 3-0. And then this thread doesnt happen.
foxfanazer Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 No ones accepting that sort of result though are they. We're accepting the fact we bossed the game and were unlucky not to win it.We were stripped of what should have been a routine 3 points because Roy can't manage the game. Laughable subs and too cautious
GaelicFox Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Worst chant "Roy hodgson Roy hodgson Is taking us to Paris To Paris to Paris Ohhhhh ohhhh ohhhh ...... Only if he is giving you a lift to Eurostar next week
Brooksy Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Yeah . Pretty much every caller saying it was the ideal situation for Vardy, shows how clueless hodgson is
Thracian Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 We could have easily won the game 3-0. And then this thread doesnt happen. But we didn't, and you could clearly see why.

Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Thursday will be interesting! Nos da/good night lads.
casablancas Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 We could have easily won the game 3-0. And then this thread doesnt happen. Why didn't they win 3-0? It's because they didn't create clear cut chances apart from the Rooney volley.
Webbo Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Club over country for me I'm afraid. And the FA disrespect us. Which makes me very sad - because I just can't bring myself to love the England football team. It's always the people who don't care about England who do the most moaning about the team/manager. Do yourself a favour and stop watching.
BoyJones Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 England played ok and I don't blame the players, I blame Woy for his lack of game management: 1) why take off Rooney? He's our most exerienced player at seeing out games, and then bringing on someone who can't defend 2) why take off our only pacey player (albeit not at his best, but still a threat) and bring on Milner another non defender with little pace. This invited all the pressure in the last five minutes which led to the goal. Russia knew we had no chance of a breakaway. Woy deserves the biggest kicking in tomorrows papers and I hope he gets it.
Izzy Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 We were stripped of what should have been a routine 3 points because Roy can't manage the game. Laughable subs and too cautious Can't argue with any of that. Vardy would have had a field day tonight and it would all be different. Regardless, still think we deserved to win the game though...
Jimothy Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 We could have easily won the game 3-0. And then this thread doesnt happen. Could we now But we didn't did we, because we couldn't create any decent chances, and the few we did, we fluffed. The only one we didn't was fair enough the a Rooney chance that was saved well. You get everything you deserve in football. For all our possession we didn't score, and were punished. And if the goals aren't coming don't you think the management might think it's a good idea to make a change in the attacking line up at some point? Why was Woy happy with Sterling running into people all night, or Kane doing a grand total of **** all, because don't tell me you thought he played well? Why did Alli stay on so long when he offered so little?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 respect for both fans' tributes to Muhammad Ali
casablancas Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 What's all the talk of balance and shape? I mean it's all well and good but we had zero goal threat with that shape.
Thracian Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Agree Rooney had a great game, Hodgson nearly got it right, but Sterling again flopped. There was no need that I could see for any England substitutions. Substitutions, to me, should have a particular purpose. We'd dominated the game, had so much of the ball there was little chance of anyone being especially tired and had no need to change what was working except to require the team to continue pressing the game. One of Ranieri's great strengths is that he doesn't seem to change anything without a specific justifiable reason. I don't know what Hodgson was trying to effect.
HankMarvin Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Why do you lot even watch England? Youll hammer them for everything at every opportunity Low expectations like this will see the Owl take charge at his 3rd tournament, was this English performance good enough after 2014???
whoareyaaa Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 We could have easily won the game 3-0. And then this thread doesnt happen. If he plays Vardy from the start he more than likely would have scored, we could have been 2 nil up and that goal doesn't matter. I think that's why people are pissed off.
inckley fox Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 England did more than enough to win the game. They were excellent for almost the whole game. Wow. Are you actually serious? They had a good first half and were poor against an extremely poor Russian side for much of the second half. If there's one lesson we should have learnt decades ago it's that scraping past rubbish teams is a bad sign, not a good one. We didn't even manage that this time around.
