EastAnglianFox Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 to be honest i am no where near as fussed about him leaving as i was about vardy. kante never really seemed to fit in and whilst he is a great player i dont think he is too blessed in the brain cell dept. I can't really add much to this, other than that I agree but it's still hard to explain. Brilliant, brilliant player for us, but just with the snippets of videos / pics of our band of brothers, just always had the feeling our Ngolo was a bit of a lone wolf!
KingsX Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 My regret is losing the prospect of seeing how the entire core of the 15/16 team would fare in the CL. Ranieri's defensive tactics will have to be that much sharper without N'golo's pitch coverage. Still plenty to be encouraged by in this offseason and roster though. 50% higher pay, well over a 10M difference over the life of the contract. I can't blast the man for taking it.
Bert Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 Amazing player. Loved watching him. But people thanking him for all he's done? He was part of a team with amazing team spirit which was the key. If he doesn't wanna be here and would rather chase the money then let him go and play for someone else.
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 please don't write letter for MahrezUnfortunately I think it's too late for that!https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jul/15/riyad-mahrez-leicester-city
easilee Posted 15 July 2016 Posted 15 July 2016 taking into account the types players we have brought in, I have a sneaky suspicion that Claudio knew all along that Kanté and Mahrez are off.
weller54 Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Kante never looked settled here.. Don't think he wanted to come in the first place? Mendy is a different animal but we can expect a formation change to adapt to life post Kante, I think that's our only option now!
suffolk fox Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Feel a bit sorry for the bloke in the club shop last Saturday who had Kante printed on the back of his new white shirt. Waste of £55 that was. Doh!

Mendy is a different animal but we can expect a formation change to adapt to life post Kante, I think that's our only option now! That's true Keith - he didn't want to come, and it seems he couldn't wait to leave. For me, his leaving after one season - given what was achieved last season and the CL to look forward to - to go to a club without Champions League football, to play against us shows little respect for our club. I'm not naive and therefore not surprised he has gone - but to go there? I don't like it.
It'sblueupnorth Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Not having a dig. But in what way didn't he fit in? I remember watching a video of Simpson singing whilst on camera with Kante. Kante was smiling but you could tell he thought get the **** away from me whilst posing looking awkward as ****
yorkie1999 Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Feel a bit sorry for the bloke in the club shop last Saturday who had Kante printed on the back of his new white shirt. Waste of £55 that was. Doh! That was Jimmy Kante, knew him at school.
Gerard Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 I remember watching a video of Simpson singing whilst on camera with Kante. Kante was smiling but you could tell he thought get the **** away from me whilst posing looking awkward as **** I've seen a few celebrations when he always looked an outsider and looked awkward joining in, I've always felt he was never quite "one of the lads".
Guest MattP Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Feel a bit sorry for the bloke in the club shop last Saturday who had Kante printed on the back of his new white shirt. Waste of £55 that was. Doh! He was always likely to go so you can't really have any sympathy for people who do that. You are taking a chance on him or Mahrez at the minute (although I still think the latter will stay)
Kitchandro Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 He doesn't owe us one more season or anything like that. What he does owe us is respect. You should always have respect. Going to Chelsea shows no respect for us whatsoever.
ajthefox Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 We should replace Kante with Mendy in all our title photos and pretend he was never here.

Going to Chelsea shows no respect for us whatsoever. Exactly this!!Why on earth go to Chelsea??!! I could understand if we finished mid-table or whatever but to finish top, win the league ahead of the big clubs and leave for a team not even in champs league is bs!! Players like him don't give clubs like ours a chance to progress, short sighted idiot who has shown he only plays for money!! Scumbag!!
m4DD0gg Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 The more i think about it feck him. Huge ROI on him and we can/have utilised those funds wisely.
weller54 Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 We'll have another lump of money in the Bank soon when Mahrez goes!.. Cash rich!!!
Lcfc_lass10 Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 I remember watching a video of Simpson singing whilst on camera with Kante. Kante was smiling but you could tell he thought get the **** away from me whilst posing looking awkward as **** I thought that's what he meant but wasn't sure if he meant on the pitch Yeah I know one of the coaches & he said Kante never really got involved with the social side of it, like most players.
Webbo Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Dear N'Golo, I wanted , first of all, to say on behalf of all Foxes Fans, thank you for what you have done for our club. None of us ever thought what you guys achieved was possible. You now have to make a huge decision. You are going to be tempted with offers from some of the biggest clubs in the world , but before you sign on the dotted line, I wanted you to consider the following; 1) if you go to a "big" club, you may not start every game. Remember how you felt being an unused substitute in the Eurp 2016 final? At Leicester you are guaranteed to start 2) Money isn't everything and you could probably get more elsewhere. However, sign a new contract here and you will have more money than you can spend in a lifetime 3) When you are an old man, your grandchildren will not want to know how much you earned. They will want to see the video of you lifting that trophy with Leicester 4) Here at Leicester you are loved. This hardly ever happens. I don't know any set of fans that loves their team more than we do 5) Go down to Kate St in Leicester and see the mural with the players on. Would you get that at Chelsea or Madrid? 6) Just think for a moment. If you moved away and Leicester did the impossible and won the Champions League next year, how would you feel ? One thing I can guarantee is that Chelsea won't win it next year. N'Golo, if you do leave, it will be with our very best wishes. You will always be welcomed back . But, if you stay , you will become a true legend. This is a once in a lifetime decision. Best wishes Clive Well that was a lot of fcking use.
MC Prussian Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 You should be ashamed of yourself, Clive. That really did backfire, didn't it?
