The whole world smiles Posted 22 August 2016 Share Posted 22 August 2016 Apologies if this has been posted anywhere else I have checked and can't see anything but does anyone have any info / heard rumours about how serious it is and when he will be back. I'm gutted for the lad looked a seriously good player in the 2nd half also impressed with his attitude trying to run it off will fit in well. stu Posted 23 August 2016 Share Posted 23 August 2016 ...or it isn't great news and we are trying to keep it quiet while we sort a replacement to avoid clubs hiking up the prices?
st albans fox Posted 23 August 2016 Share Posted 23 August 2016 Could be a number of reasons -not wanting to affect prices is easily covered by just issuing a statement that he is out for a fortnight. More likely to do with swelling needing to go down a bit before the results of the scan can be fully interpreted.
lgfualol Posted 23 August 2016 Share Posted 23 August 2016 Havent seen one of our players hurt themselves on the pitch like that in a long time. It was horrible. This is how Arsenal must feel every single game.

MC Prussian Posted 23 August 2016 Share Posted 23 August 2016 I suppose the club have just recently received the definite diagnosis or are on the verge of doing so. Assume that Ranieri will address this on Thursday during the Swansea pre-match press conference.

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 23 August 2016 Share Posted 23 August 2016 I think Claudio said post match v Arsenal he won't be available to face Swansea on Saturday. But he also pointed out they will have to wait and see, Thursday's press conference will hopefully give us an update.
ian_marshall Posted 23 August 2016 Share Posted 23 August 2016 Don't hold me to this but I'm pretty sure that in order to get the most accurate MRI scans you have to wait until the swelling has subsided. An acute injury normally takes up to 48 hours for the swelling to reduce if managed correctly, so I suspect that he'll be off for scans today and they'll know the full extent of the situation later this afternoon. foxy boxing Posted 23 August 2016 Share Posted 23 August 2016 hopefully he will be ok and come back raring to go and get stuck in, it looked a really bad injury so who knows how long he will be out, we will just have to cope without him as best we can and hope he returns to a winning team

Far too rational for my liking. I think they haven't announced anything as its really bad news.
RowlattsFox Posted 23 August 2016 Share Posted 23 August 2016 We never get told about injuries! Im sure under Pearson we had a player who was out for months but we never knew why.
