Always gave his best for us. Can only wish him well and all the best!

Exactly the signing a team needs to make if they want to get out of the championship.

Good move for all parties and good to make a profit on him.

Hasnt got the defensive nous to play at the level we are at now and questionable as a regular top-flight full-back, but very handy in the 2nd tier and a good pro. Always liked him and thankful for his solid contributions to a great period in our history. Best of luck to him.

Also one of the best accents I've ever heard.

Memories:

1) The goal v Derby (4-1 at home I think)

2) The beautiful pass to Vardy against Man U

3) The crucial "over the line" goal which kick started our comeback when 2-0 down to Villa

Yeo good memories

thanks RDL good luck

Been a great servant to the club, haven't really got a bad word to say about him. Had some off games but was more often than not criticised harshly

He's more than good enough for that league, it's a fair price.

Good for RDL! He always gave us his all. Realistically I think upper Championship is is optimal level.

Fook sake. Who's given that a thumbup?

Always put a shift in and was exciting to watch bombing down the wing. Thanks for the service Ritchie and best of the luck at Villa.

Me of course.

Yes he did a good job for us but we can get better now so we move on. £2.5mill is great business.

I would say that 2.5m for a top 6 Championship / bottom 6 Premier League right back is bang on market value.

It's a deal that suits both parties. If we were still a bottom 6 club then I would have wanted more.

Sad to see him go but shows how much we have come on. He deserves to be somewhere he will play week in week out. Never sulked or kicked up a fuss.

Best of luck RDL (unless against us in future), great servant to the club.

Best of luck to him. Seems like a good pro and a good bloke. Did a cracking job in the Champ but as others have said he struggled to make the step up.  £2.5 million is good work.

Good luck Ritchie, Always thought you were more midfielder than a full back. Threatens so much going forward but never quite delivers as often as he should.

We made a profit on him also which is nice to hear.
