egg_fried_rice Posted 27 August 2016 Posted 27 August 2016 We were much the better team but should have put them to the sword when we were well on top, and we made things a bit nervy for ourselves because we didn't. Amartey and Drinky were superb. Mahrez poor.
Charl91 Posted 27 August 2016 Posted 27 August 2016 Amartey fantastic in the first half. A little more hit and miss in the second - missed a few tackles, which could have cost us. Overall though, a good performance from him; better option than King for the time being, and possibly a better fit than Mendy when he comes back too. Will have to see, but the Drinkwater/Amartey partnership has potential.

Impressed with Amartey, thought Drinky was outstanding, Shinji's work rate is phenomenal and he's more than earned his place, Vardy looks just about like he's back to himself, the back 4 were excellent barring their goal. Mahrez is Mahrez, thought he played well except for the missed penalty and a bit too much selfishness in attack though he looks like he's only at 70% methinks. Conditions didn't help much but we're almost back to ourselves! 3 points, can't argue with that!

Should have put it to bed with the pen, but on the other hand, if you're going to miss one, much better to do it when it has no bearing on the result. We've improved each game which is a big positive, and Amartey looks like he could be a very good option to partner DD in midfield.

He has missed far too many. Vardy has been more consistent with them, and would have preferred him to take it.

Well he shouldn't be missing pens should he.. Also, he was non existent really, wasn't the right conditions for him though so will cut him some slack for his over all performance. Take him off pens for fuchs sake though
