Could we have got it any more wrong?!!!

Interesting to hear Claudio say he will be talking to Jamie and Riyad regarding penalty taking,so is that him saying Riyad isn't taking the penalties ?

was really disappointed as most were in Riyads penalty today he didn't look confident when he walked up to take it and there was no usual Mahrez Class when he took it he might as well have said its going in that corner the way he actually took it was his worst penalty to date imo !!

who would you put as your penalty taker??

First 70 minutes we were fantastic. Very pleasing performance. Amazing that we have England's best central midfielder playing for us. Superb today. Very impressed by Amartey too.

Am I the only one who thinks Vardy still isnt quite on his game. Good goal of course, but he isn't making some of the runs and chasing down players like he usually is.

Musa at the end lol

On a side note, kudos to whoever at the club created that pre match video with bocelli. Goosebumps every time. Not many videos get a round of applause. Superb piece of work.

Much better and a continuation of the more positive vibe from the Arsenal game. Well done to Vardy, Morgan and Amartey especially. Though, luckily Swansea didn't offer much other than the consolation goal and late pressure.

Would really like to see Musa get off the mark soon though. Hopefully he will be introduced sooner vs Liverpool and we'll have the option of Mendy again in CM as he was starting to come on before the injury vs Arsenal.

Fuchs. Not quite German but close. Looks like a level headed sort with a good shot.

Amartey and Drinkwater were fantastic, if the former can keep up that level of performance at 21 then we've got a serious player on our hands. Not getting carried away but he was massively encouraging and they worked well as a pair with Shinji dropping in.

We really do need to get Mahrez off penalties, though. He misses as many as he scores and that isn't a great rate to have.

Weather was the only thing that made that nervy in the end

Yeah, made it a bit of a lottery where anything could happen and nullified any through balls to  Vardy/Musa and Mahrez's dribbling (though he actually looked better in the heavy rain lol )

Amartey was a revelation! Let's hope it wasn't a one off.

Our attack went from toothless against Arsenal to looking downright deadly. Mahrez did make some decent linking passes today, and Shinji was the best I've ever seen him.

Daniel Amartey :worship:

His piece of play that led to the first goal was jizzworthy, it was that good.

Honorable mentions to Okazaki & Big Wes as well, Okazaki's link up play was fantastic today, while Wes was an absolute rock alongside Huth.

Swansea had some decent spells, they seemed to play better when the downpour was at its worst, thank fvck we managed to hold on.

Thought we looked good, they looked awful mind you.

We should have hammered them, that's not moaning we didn't just saying for the first 70 minutes it was a very easy game, after those 70 minutes we seemed to make hard work of it ourselves, based on the first 70 it should never have been shakey going into the last 10!

Schmeichel's kicking again :kingy:

Amartey looked good, impressed!

4 points from the first 3 i'll take that, could argue we'd expect to be 2 points better off but we didn't turn up at Hull.

Got pretty wet thought my jacket was waterproof but it's not lol

Jacket? What Jacket!

Hugging the outside of the stadium wall coming out the ground not that it made any difference as I still look like I've been in the Soar.

Great result. Made hard work of it in the end but we were fantastic up to the penalty miss. The last fifteen minutes were both hilarious and nervy due to water logged pitch and it was lapse concentration to let their goal in. But at the end of the day we could have had 4 or 5 easy today and there was a fantastic passage of play in the first half were we put their goal under constant siege for a few minutes.

Amartey was MOTM and that performance could be huge for him. He will gain confidence and that could be the start of a long run in the team. Early days but given his age and lack of PL experience that was super promising.

Okazaki was great. Always under rated I feel, but he continues to show why he is in the team. He links attack and defence and puts defenders under pressure. He is a great foil for Vardy and this season he's not going to ground as much and who'd thought it - he gives so much more to the team as a result! I also wonder if he should be given Penalty duty? Might help him gain confidence although he has a brilliant effort in the first half saved which was encouraging to see.

Mahrez will get slated but he had moments. The penalty was horrendous and was badly out of position at times but he did pose a threat going forwards and perhaps it's better he's not at his best now as I believe he will improve. Please take him off penalties for now though Claudio!!!

The torrential downpour was comedy at the end but we should have scored at least another. Was hoping Musa would open his account.

Overall a a good game and am intrigued for the Liverpol game. We lost there last year and I'd say their attack has improved considerably. But they are weak at the back and we could exploit it - Vardy was very solid today. I'd personally take a draw to keep the momentum going.

Mahrez made all the wrong decisions today, dribbled when he should have passed, passed when he should have shot.

No he didn't did he? My gut instantly said 'miss'. But that's Mahrez. He has that air about him.

Swansea were poor. We can only play who's in front of us, and our performance was on the up but let's face it, we'll face far tougher opposition than that.

Still, a win and we move on with major improvements shown today. Notably Amartey. And Okazaki is worth his weight in gold to the way we play. He's no striker but his work rate and link play are exceptional.
