If it were just the penalty ------------

He has linked the first goal. He created the action that led to the corner kick of the second goal. What else do you want? Maybe you want  ----------

I know how precious you are about everyone's spelling, punctuation etc. HPF, but does it really matter and do you have to pull us up every time? It must be exhausting playing the role of the Grammar Policeman on this forum! I actually quite like your football related threads but the pedantic quips are becoming tiresome. Take a chill pill, get laid, take drugs or something, but please let us be our thick, stupid selves in peace.

No it doesn't really matter - I kinda explained myself. And believe you me, the number of errors I ignore massively outweighs the occasions I give in to myself and post. However, point taken.

Great game. Amartey was outstanding and his partnership with Drinky was superb. DD playing balls over the top and Amartey playing some killer through balls forward. It was like we found the missing piece of the puzzle we're been looking for since preseason.

Amartey today...............

I see a little silhouetto of a man,

Amartey, Amartey, how you play the football,

Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening!

Everything Mahrez tried today didn't work but that's something we accept with players like him.  He was good against Arsenal so this 'his head's not right' stuff I'm not buying.

Fuchs is looking off the pace and if that continues, Chilli B has to come in.

Amartey was excellent today but lets see how fares against better opposition before there's too much of the 'N'golo who?' stuff.

Albrighton was really working his arse off but he was absolutely knackered so no suprise he made way.  Not sure why Musa shot so early when he was through.  Defender wasn't getting close to him.

All good points. Your posts = your user name

I don't think I'm normally prone to overreacting or conspiracy theories, but did anyone else think Albrighton's wave when he came off was a bit 'thanks and goodbye-ish' ??

How big is Zieler? I didn't think he looked very big in the goal today compared to Schmichel.

Acording to Fotmob Kasper is 78kg and 181cm while Zieler is 75kg and 185cm.

Kasper has his very own slightly smaller goalposts and always takes them off with him when he is substituted ...

No

he was waving to his family who always sit there

claudio is protecting him for the long campaign ahead and also taking the opportunity of giving musa a run out

It's this kind of inside information that I joined foxestalk to read.

Biggest surprise today has to be Simpson, played probably his best game ever. Biggest disappointment for me remains Albrighton,I just really hate his lobbed in crosses. It's like taking a pitching wedge from 30 years. Amartey had a faultless game and worked well alongside Drinky. I particularly liked the pace that was absent from the first two games. If Hull was 50%, Arsenal 70% I think we got to 80% today so getting better.

Amartey given a chance and shows what he can do ...   JV almost back in the groove but pleeeese lets get those pens sorted !!   :)

CR says that was maybe Shinjis best ever game ...   so Shinji moaners ..   stick that in your pipe and smoke it !!  :scarf:

Musa will be a monster.

Wes reminded me of my dog when the ball bounces and he's not sure where its gone ...   lol

Great result !! ...   We're on the move !!

I think it's now very clear that opposition teams are doubling up, even tripling up against Mahrez. He's got less time on the ball than last season which necessitates a slight change of how he plays. Perhaps he's got to get used to 'giving and going' more than he does, rather than trying to dribble through a hoard of opposition.

The plus side to this is that it's freeing up space for our other players.

Regarding penalties, he can't carry on taking them. Today's miss could have so easily led to us drawing that game. They were a dramatically improved side when the left winger came on (name escapes me) and were putting in a lot of crosses, any of which could have led to an equalizer if it wasn't for our last ditched defending.

The game should have been long gone by then.

Far more uncomfortable towards the end that it needed to be or should've been, we played some excellent football in the conditions and should've won by more. The team looked fresh and motivated and I really enjoyed most of it.

Amartey was immense, Vardy superb, Drinkwater sprayed it about nicely, Morgan was fantastic, Okazaki had a good game.

Great to get our first win, fully deserved.

Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get ya!

We looked like our best at times. Amarthey shone todayVards took his goal brilliantly and what a blast in from Captain Morgan.

Ain't having no grief for Riyad as he tried loads of things, his flick on for musa was ace and hes just struggling abit with 2/3 on him all the time. Yes he fooked up the pen BUT hes OUT gamechanger.Lest we not forget!

A couple of points no one's mentioned yet:

1) Amartey's all-round midfield excellence included one quality Kante (for all his magnificence) could never provide - strength in the air to win those 50/50 aerial balls around the halfway line.

2) Okazaki had one of his best games but he should have scored the follow-up after Mahrez's penalty miss. His finishing is not good enough.

plus, Mahrez is a brilliant footballer, perhaps the most skilful we have ever had - and he has just committed himself long-term to City. He just had a bad game today. Give him some slack. But yeah, let's hope that's the last pen he takes.

Just has a quick look on one of the Swansea forums and they're a deluded bunch. According to them our first was a hoofed ball over the top!

Looks like they forgot to mention the fantastic interception by Amartey followed by one of the best passages of one touch football you'll see in the Premier League at any ground this season.

If that's deemed a poor goal then I need to get down to the Liberty Stadium a bit more to witness Swansealona and their world famous brand of football.

Musa trying hard. Just needs to relax. Sometimes the pressure you put on yourself causes problems. That's what she said any way.

If you noticed, Vardy also made mistakes, or shoots too late or too early.

Dont make the mistake or forget, how Musa moves, for that chance he made his own space,

not unlike his goals against Barca. This guy is going to be a great asset, his pace and nifty foot,

Will see him getting goals, through the season.Just needs to get game time, same as Vardy..
