I cannot see where they are going to fit in as Okazaki is playing so well and Vardy is the number one number 9. So unless the formation moves to a 4 3 3 where are the others going to get a look in as regular players. I'd have thought the defence is where reinforcements are needed, its an ageing bunch and will need to be completely overhauled over then next 3 years. And the midfield isn't totally sorted with good deputies for each role.

KingKante Posted 29 August 2016 Posted 29 August 2016 Ulloas not very good, Okazaki could and probably should score more.. Kramaric has gone, musa is pretty much an impact sub with his pace off the bench so I'm guessing slimani could be the 'complete striker' to replace Ulloa

Okazaki cannot even finish each league fixture and Leo looks knackered playing 30 mins every week! Why would we need another striker?

STUHILL Posted 29 August 2016 Posted 29 August 2016 We could still do pretty well without signing a striker, as long as Vardy stays fit and Musa continues to impress and settle. We know what we can get from Okazaki, incredible work rate for 45-65 mins and that creates openings for others, but he never looks like someone who will score us more than 5-10 goals a season. Ulloa, holds the ball up incredibly well and causes problems in the box with his height and strength, but again, he never looks that competent infront of goal. That's why I think if we really want to continue to improve, we should sign a striker who can push Vardy for his finishing ability and someone who looks a genuine 20+ goal a season type player. Slimani certainly on paper, looks like he has the potential to be that and would love to see Mahrez and Albrighton whipping balls into dangerous areas for him to get a head on.
