Izzy Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 Don't know about some of you, but I'd quite like England to qualify for the next World Cup. We won away, against one of the stronger teams in the group.
foxfanazer Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 Did Allardyce just admit he can't tell Rooney where to play?

We were looking for something different after the euros and it hasn't happened at all
GingerrrFox Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 The Big Fat **** is basically saying Rooney does what he wants, he plays where he wants and who is he to tell him no. You're the manager for ****s sake! That sums up everything that is wrong with England. Player power at its finest.
SheppyFox Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 fat Sam isn't comfortable as England manager is he
Tielemans63 Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 Theo ****ing Walcott. That's everything that's wrong with the national team summed up right there.

Not good at all, sometimes I just think it is the players that really manage this team... and has been for years

But other then that, this is a shit fest, I feel embarrassed, Slovaks deserved a draw and I sort of felt sorry for em Did they though? They never really tried to win the game, even as the home team. It might not have looked like it but we were the only team trying to win it, even 11 v 11. Agree with Lallana though, has his critics and is definitely flawed, but showed a desire above most today, and is one of our better players technically (except in the box 99% of the time)
LanguedocFox Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 England were sh!te. I cannot believe than neither Vardy nor Drinkwater got a look-in, and WTF was Allardyce doing by having five - FIVE - players from Tottenham Bottlers on the pitch at the same time? He puts on Sturridge (85 minutes of football this season) and Walcott (even Wenger thinks he's useless) and leaves Vardy on the bench. And the ITV commentary, spunking all over Alli from the moment he came on, made it even worse. .
Benji Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 I thought deflections didn't count towards an offside (for the Walcott disallowed goal it's clearly the defender smashing the ball against Sturridge) or have I made that rule up?
Matt Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 Allardyce says Rooney plays up front before that game. Don't think I saw him up front all game, on a few occasions he was the furthest player back. Apparently he was brilliant according to Sam....
foxes21 Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 Did anyone notice all Theo Walcott did was get the ball and cross it as quickly as possible? Dear Big Sam, If you want your wingers to do that, call up someone with actual quality & actual end product. His name is Marc Albrighton, who by the way created more chances last season than Mahrez.
BoyJones Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 Not read any of thread, but Kane and Dier were a disgrace, Walcott and Sturidge wouldn't get in coventrys team. All sams subs were useless. Sam was lucky motm Lallana got him out of gaol. Only Spurs player who turned up was Rose, the rest of Spurs proved they still have that losing mentality.

Try or not try, you can't complain when minnows sit back, how often have we played for the counter and lacked possession. Even when they had 10 men, how often did we test there keeper, we hit the post once and fluffed a few.....not good enough

I;'d rather we were beaten tonight, took a hard look at ourselves and work out why we're so utterly shit. I heard people talk about "Big Sam will make England hard to beat". Like that's the problem... We very rarely get beat, but it's even more rare that we score.

It is like we are too scared to commit or give the ball away so just play slow, and pass to the nearest man.

Yeh we will more than likely be qualifying but if we play like that in the World Cup, like we have been playing the past few tournaments, then we might as well not even bother showing up because we won't be getting out the group stage.
Izzy Posted 4 September 2016 Posted 4 September 2016 It's Big Sam's first game in charge FFS. Give him a chance to find his feet for gods sake. Some of you need to cut him a bit of slack and not let this Spurs/Leicester thing cloud your judgement.

Same old same old isn't it didnt put big fat Sam down as an FA puppet but that's what he is Its the big club show and sponsorship deals that get in the way not a single player from the current champions played tonight and that is disgusting. There would be uproar if Liverpool/Man U/Man C/Chelsea/Tottenham/Arsenal were current champions and their 3/4 England born players couldn't even make the team disgusting just fvcking disgusting
