This is my point.

When, on earth, has he had a 'brilliant game'?

Brilliant!?

He's had better games where he's looked lively. He's also had absolute fookin stinkers.

And again....this is the Premiership. It's ruthless, it's a points business. It's a constant onslaught of quality opposition. 'Realising potential' is not wanted when we are where we are.

The only thing I'd agree with you over is that he's NO WAY a 442 CM. If we are to play him away from the KP he's got to be in a midfield 3. Which I've said right from the off.

Brilliant! For fooks sake....

lol

And yet, despite this, he's been better than King in pretty much every game they've played together.

Amartey just scored a 2-2 goal against Stoke City at 88:00 minute mark.

Amartey-haters on FoxesTalk; Where the feck are you now?

I'm here kid...I'm here.

He scored an important goal today but did you expect him to? Did you bollox...

I'm expecting a goal a game now from him....

lol

Seriously, well done to him. Big goal that.

I saw something that impressed me today and it wasn't the goal. He was calming some of the players down (including Mr placid; Andy King). That's a mature quality that gives me a bit more faith in him.

When we play high tempo the entire team looks top notch - that's been the issue all season

This a million times. We do need another cm but I think it's way too simplistic and naïve to pin all the blame of the lack of quality in the middle; it's the mentality.

It's not just the goal that was the only impressive things from him, but his overall performance as well.....

Maybe now people will at least see his potential?

He made a class tackle in our box in the first half too.

Just a shame Musa couldn't keep his slightly overhit pass in play at the death because he might have set up a winning goal!

Your usual good post matey. That's as important than him scoring his first goal since 2015. Hopefully, it shows he's becoming more influential in the squad.

When he has a firework up his arse the lad is class. He's too timid and it ruins what he's good at, he needs to discover it throughout games rather than 5 minutes on beast mode every other week.

The ingredients are there.

I think the whole team has been timid this year! Today showed me more than anything what an ANGRY Leicester can do. Its like today we decided to stick a massive middle finger up at Football in general and it turned us back into that never say die powerhouse!

I do agree though that Amartey when he ha a bee in his bonnet. If I compare him to Kante, sometimes even the mighty N'Golo made mistakes like getting booked or giving the ball away. The difference was that he forgot about it and 3 minutes later either won it back or intercepted the ball again! He just didn't let it bother him. Hopefully Amartey gets more confident and plays more of his own game.
