Wymsey Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Shame it hasn't work out, if this suggests he's going/gone already.
Jon the Hat Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Oh dear. Did they let him do a press conference or something?

Benji Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Weird to suspend if it's just a simple sacking, unless they've literally just decided and want to make some quick form of announcement ahead of the game, with a further statement tonight.
Wymsey Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Says on BBC website he's suspended. Odds on training ground incident?
Blue and white Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Idiakez also suspended, can we get him back?
Fox92 Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Shame. Sometimes it just doesn't work out though.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 we need him for our relegation battle
Fox92 Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Surely the players need to look at themselves. McLaren, Pearson, Clough are all good managers at that level and Clement, clearly a good coach, all sacked with the same group of players.
Soar Fox Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Good mates with Allardyce isn't he? Maybe he was involved in some of the deals.
EchoFox Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 Derby County manager Nigel Pearson has been suspended by the club and will not be in charge of the team for Tuesday's Championship match with Cardiff City. Assistant boss Chris Powell will take control of the side for the match in Wales. A club statement said: "Nigel Pearson will not be carrying out his duties at Tuesday's game at the request of the club. "The club will make no further comment at this time."
brucey Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 the timing of this and the phrase "pending a club investigation" sounds more like it's do with a behavioural misdemeanor rather than just not getting results
AjcW Posted 27 September 2016 Posted 27 September 2016 There's reports alongside all the Sam stuff that 5 other managers are "worried they've been set up by the same crew".... the wording "internal investigation" is intriguing... but let's not laugh too soon, might be why the owners binned him here too.

That would make more sense, something has come out and they want to suspend him pending an investigation, although interesting that it is Idiakez as well, suggests more than a Nigel meltdown. If they had lined up a replacement surely just sack him.
