Derby's team seem a rotten bunch.

I'm one of the few fans of the club who can see it though. They've stopped playing for 3 managers now, McClaren was the first, Clement they completely downed tools and were all smiles and laughing the day after he got the push.. and now Pearson has become a third victim... something tells me its not all rosy within the ranks.

And they've played tonight and won 2-0! Maybe they should just hold the job interviews themselves and decide who they'll happily play for...

This win just strengthens the argument about player power. Give the job to Powell and it'll only be a matter of time before he says something they don't like and they'll down tools again.

Just give the players the manager tag, let them share it on a week by week basis.

Good, I can go back to wanting Derby to lose each week

What about Chris Powell? Arguably more popular here

I can't believe that during one of the biggest nights in our history some are on FT posting about the Derby manager being suspended!

Is us in the Champions League not enough entertainment for one evening?

You should have wanted Derby to lose anyway if you were any kind of Leicester fan.

Like the song....."when will they ever learn".  8 months too early to go commando..

PS..makes me think...Maybe the dogs were the good guys..;)

He's toast now, unemployable.

Any prospective employers will look at his media outbursts when with us and the nature of his departure from Derby and think it's not worth the hassle.

The fact the team won 2-0 this evening shows the players were not playing for him.

They've been terrible this season like.

We were pretty decent against Bristol City and Ipswich (even McCarthy was amazed they got out of the winners) and looked to have turned a corner, but this team we have can't seem to maintain performance and a shocker is always around the corner.

We don't know what's happened behind the scenes, but it was always going to go one of two way with him and Morris, either they were going to get on like a house on fire.... or come to blows.. because Morris is hands on, whereas the owners at your club watch from afar and don't get involved.

I wish him well though, I actually like the bloke, he's a good manager and will find another club imo, hopefully its a club with owners like your lots as opposed to our clown.

What i cant get my head around is someone like you slagging your chairman off, who puts millions into your club.

You say the players are morons and yet they get you into the playoffs.

You then appoint a manager who sends you just about to the bottom of the league.

And then you think its not the fault of the manager.

Are you sad that you won 2-0 tonight? you went away from home, scored twice, won the game, your players put a shift in as opposed to someone who was obviously not inspiring them at all, and youre bitter.

Weird.

I'm not stupid enough to think we're a top half prem side, we're a bottom half championship side and that's that

You aren't though, the last time you finished bottom half was 6 years ago. You're garbage but you aren't that bad for that division.

There can't be any talk about 'delusions of grandeur' with Derby when their squad is proven top six stuff. Nige is a legend and I love him more than my own family but you win no games, you score no goals, you lose at home to a side managed by Owen Coyle - you make a rod for your own back.

I thought the same until I saw ChrisPowell interviewed last night. Dignified, loyal and likeable Id love to see him succeed if they appoint him

You do have a bit of an agenda against Pearson don't you? Let's be honest.

I can understand the Derby fan not liking the players, they have been assembled at great expense for the Championship and yet they have no bottle and seem too fragile or egotistical to deal with any sort of hard manager.

As for the owner, he's put in a lot of money yes, but he wants to micro-manage and is upsetting the stability of the club. If our owners interfered with team selection and chopped and changed managers every 6 months we'd all be saying the same.
