Thats not the rule Wymesey.

It's any body part that you can score with.

FIFA don't classify the arms or hand for offside:

IFAB Laws of the Game 2016-17

Offside position

It is not an offence to be in an offside position.

A player is in an offside position if:

  • any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents’ half (excluding the halfway line) and
  • any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent
  • The hands and arms of all players, including the goalkeepers, are not considered.

A player is not in an offside position if level with the:

  • second-last opponent or
  • last two opponents

Great result and great performance. Leicester were right on it chasing and pressing . Tracking back. Difference yesterday was the they looked to get the ball forward quickly Vardy Slim Mahrez all supporting that with their running. Seriously we could have ended up winning this by 3 or 4.

Let's do this against Palace and Tottenham and we'll see a change in how we think about the team and Claudio.

1. First of all it was not a deserved win. This game should have ended in a draw. You had two dangerous situation. The first one after two mistakes. Verbic should had cleared the ball and Zanka followed Mahrez instead of standing and thinking about his model girlfriend at home. The second one was correctly judged offside. Look at Slimani's arm/hand and you can see that he was just offside. Cornelius should have scored one, but great save by Kasper.

Hmmm....

Shot yourself in the foot there didn't you? lol As others have pointed out, the arms and hand don't count in the offside rule.

By your own evidence the final score should have been 2-0.

FCK Fan could you pass me the salt please?

Joke aside, if you like you said you lost against a team that is actually out of form and had shown, in all honesty, a poor display yesterday, then it tells volumes about your team's real level.

With all due respect, the Danish Superliga ain't exactly one of toughest or the most spectacular leagues in Europe and you are regularily in the UCL rather because the lack of opposition than being particularly outstanding. You still never made it past the group stage as far as I know (correct me if  I'm wrong). LCFC winning the Premier League might be a one off, but I'm not sure you'd even have made it to the top 10.

Stay classy FCK Fan, I wish you luck for your next games and may the better team win next time.

I have to correct you, Copenhagen have made it through the group stages once. The did it in 2010/11 in a group with Rubin Kazan, Panathinaikos and Barcelona by winning 3 games (1 against Rubin, 2 x Panathinaikos) and draw 1 game (Barcelona). In the 1/8 final the got Chelsea and ended up losing 2-0 at home and playing 0-0 i England.

I am no Copenhagen fan, actually I am a fan of their biggest competitor in Denmark, Brøndby. That means I was very happy that you guys won, and I really hope that you will win again in two weeks. Off cause you didn't played perfect or brilliant, in Denmark your team were a disappointment to watch, meaning that you are the English champions and normally any danish team playing against the champions of England would lose with more than 1 goal. You didn't really produce any goalscoring chances in the game, which were the biggest disappointment for me. But you are not on the same level at the moment that you were when you won the league, hopefully you will soon find that level once again. Your win in this game was a fair result of the game no doubt about that.

Copenhagen didn't play a good game either, but they didn't play bad either. It was for Copenhagen a fair game, the tried to go out and make sure not to lose and secure one point, that didn't work but it was close. Copenhagen can and will play much better and specially on their home ground they are great and you will have to play better if you want to get a point in Copenhagen. And then I can see that you guys laugh at Cornelius, the guy that didn't even made it in Cardiff. Yes maybe he didn't made it there, but he did end up with a pretty bad injury which ruined his time in Cardiff, now he's close to be back at his old level. He should have scored two goals last night, and normally he will 9 out of 10 times. Give him a chance like that again and he will end up scoring against you.

You guys are like a fairytale, and I really hope you guys end up winning in Copenhagen and secure that place in the 1/8-finals and the can put focus on the league. The fairytale from last season have to continue, you have to prove that it wasn't a once in a lifetime, but that you belong in the top of the league.

Surely the point is in all the whinging that Claudio had a game plan (to hoof over midfield), it resulted in:

A) A poor 'footballing' spectacle,

B) A win.

And yet people are questioning his tactics? Is he paid to win matches or win pass completion rates?

Also the 'ifs, buts and maybe' brigade telling us if we'd have played teams A, B, C or D we'd have been battered! The thing is, we weren't we were playing Team K, and we won 1-0 (should have been 2) which the last time I looked was a decent score line for a team trying to win a game.

Just reading there forum and they seem a decent enough bunch. General concensus is that we probably didn't deserve the win, played alot of aimless long balls and that we didn't look like champions. Don't think I can argue with any of that tbf.

You make some good points. We're not playing great but yet are 3 from 3 conceding zero goals. I think alot of European teams will be shocked at just how good we are when we decide to play and I hope, before the European campaign ends, we demonstrate why we are the champions of England. With all due respect, if we played with the same pace, tempo and ferocity of last season, teams like Copenhagen and even Porto would have lost by far more then 1 goal. I hope Denmark and the rest of Europe get to see the real LCFC soon.

Trying so hard to keep it together on the train lol he's nuts.

On a more serious note, look at that run and position of space... Needs to be playing against the better teams so we can relieve pressure from our shit defence.

Apart from the 2 legitimate goals we scored of course.

Agree about Cornelius though. People judging him on here because of Cardiff is silly. Albrighton was released by Villa not too long ago but just won the league. Think Walsh had scouted Cornelius whilst Nige was here too but we were put off by the fee quoted.

And thats the point, really. After the game in England people in Denmark are starting to talk about that you are not even a favorite in the next game. As a fan of English football I find that a shame, i love watching the premier league just as must i love the danish league. But that people and some "experts" start to say that Copenhagen might the the favorite in Denmark is just wrong. Any danish side should never be considered a favorite against the English champions no matter which team is the champions. So I really hope that you do prove that you are the champions and show Copenhagen that they are by danish standards a really great team, but compared to the champions of England the are no match.

Of cause. But to get 2-3 great goalscoring chances in a game against a danish side really isn't impressive? And to be fair Copenhagen did also have 2 chances that normally end up giving them 2 goals.

Slimani goal onside

To be fair to the line I can see why he'd give that as offside, it's not but it's an almost impossible one to judge.

dilly ding dilly dong come on men, we've won our first three champions league games a great achievement no matter the opposition.no goals conceded in the three games and one more win and through to the next round. we have proved the fans of big clubs in this country wrong who said we would ruin English clubs champions league co efficient.we have done better in our first season than man city and the rest

A Slim-Shinji forward line could be the way forward. Sorry, Jamie.

Never thought after last season, and so quickly after last season, I would agree with a statement like this, but Vardy just looks so off form at the moment, and not even that, the incredible work rate and desire seems so much lower than last season. I think part of it is due to the lack of good service and also not gelling well with Slimani, but if he has another quiet game against Palace, I would seriously consider dropping him from the starting 11 and trying something different with Slimani as the focal point.

It's pretty obvious now that Kanté and Okazaki were massive for us last year, they gave us the extra bodies in midfield that allowed us to pass.

Right now our defenders (3 of whom are terrible footballers) look up, see no options, so just smash it straight back to the other team. If we're lucky it ends up in some space and gives us half a chance of getting on the end of it.

We are playing appalling football at the minute and better teams than Copenhagen are going to punish for it.

While I found it impossible to find fault with the club last season, every game we seem to keep making the same errors as if nobody can see the blatant issues.

It really highlights how poor our summer recruitment was, what a great chance we had to improve the team with a lot more quality (not just strikers and wingers) and we wasted it. On the plus side we have one more transfer window where we can offer European football. Hopefully we show some brains and thought this time in terms of recruitment/moving players on.

I'm so jealous of people that are loving this season, all I'm seeing is the possibility to cement ourselves as a top 8 team passing us by.

Still early doors and we've proved we can win games convincingly (Swansea, Burnley, maybe Bruges but that didn't feel like a convincing 3-0). A lot of other performances have been that of a team that's just come up via the play offs and is making up the numbers.

Exactly this.

That's a great post by @filbertway

I feel like we would be no worse a team if we hadn't bought anyone in the summer. The only signing that starts is Slimani and whilst I rate him his presence negates Vardy's impact on games.

I was really hoping we'd keep our big five players in Mahrez, Vardy, Kante, Drinkwater and Schmeichel and buy three or four players on a similar level and improve the team again. In my eyes improving our team with the budget we had was quite an easy task but for whatever reason our business has been almost abysmal.

i understand the fans that think we should have spent big in the summer on pretty much a whole team but the players that won us the premier league last year deserved a chance again. we all thought that with a few right signings we would still be there challenging for the league as well as being competitive in Europe and so far hasn't worked out that way certainly not in the league. yes the signings we've made haven't set the world alight yet but it is also about Claudio finding a system to accommodate these players and not just becoming a counter attacking team which surprised many teams last season but wouldn't do so again this season. I understand fans feelings about the state of the team in the league but we are doing really well in Europe albeit against not top quality opposition. a lot of fans from the big clubs thought we would ruin the Englands champions league co efficient and we would cost English football a champions league place but we havn't and if they want to come on here and apologise then fine. football has it's ups and it's downs and we foxes fans should know this more than most so let's not get overly upset at the state of things and let's get behind the team and roar them on to more success in the future

riyad mahrez nominated for uefa champions league player of the week at the moment mahrez is second to lionel messi who will obviously win following his hatrick against man city but for a foxes player just to be nominated is fantastic news

Haha that did put a smile on my face! Tell you what though, look at him when he recieves the ball. Not a player within 20 yards of him. Even if he didn't do a Shinji, he'd have lost it due to having absolutely no support anyway.

Shinji is "the at least" kind of player. In the end of the day you will say. "At least he ran". "At least he tried".At least this. At least that. We should name him the  "at least shinji"

Edit: I found his birthday cake

Its academic now - but the pix shows that the lino can't possible judge if the right fullback is keeping slimani on side- so why did he raise his flag?
