I actually feel sorry for you. Get off your fvckin entitled high horses, remember who we are and where we've come from, and realise we may NEVER experience this again. There's Derby, Forest and even Man U and Chelsea fans who'd give their right arm to be in the CL this season. Well they're not. And we are. And you can pull apart our performances and criticise the opposition all you want, but you ain't gonna spoil my once in a lifetime enjoyment of al this.

StriderHiryu Posted 18 October 2016 Posted 18 October 2016 Great result, average at best performance. As others have said we pump it long so often it's ridiculous. Playing it long for a genuine counter attack is fine but most of the time we look terrible. Unsurprisingly our best moments came when we actually played some football! 9 out of 9 without conceding is incredible but we still look like a pale comparison to last season.
Wymsey Posted 18 October 2016 Posted 18 October 2016 Solid performance really. Not too keen on wasted long balls though. Slimani was like Ulloa on the ball at times, slow and sometimes sloppy. Superb save from Schmeichel, his Dad will be proud of that.

You're right...it's fookin brill to be doing this isn't it. i tell you what it is...last season spoilt me....it's time normal service was resumed and I was happy just to not lose a game, let alone be where we are in the Champs League.

This season we are, what the **** is this hit and hope over the top, not like they are quality balls, we looked average/ poor first half. Seemed to settle a bit second half, and played the ball around a bit. Copenhagen were a average side, who if we had played to our full potential, should have been beaten easily, but yet again we made hard work of it, and if it wasn't for the save at the end, would be discussing how poor we were again. For me, a lot of concern still, something isn't working right, and we need to find confidence from somewhere, as for me some players look to be lacking it.

Posted 18 October 2016 Posted 18 October 2016 Great result patchy performance, there were flashes of the champions when we got the ball down and passed it, there was the energy and intensity that we have come to expect, but still too much sloppy play, basics such as 2 people going for the same ball, simple passes going astray and people getting isolated. Everyone played well in patches, but all made avoidable mistakes. There is still too many long balls over the top, it is a weapon, but if it is the only weapon then it becomes one dimensional and predictable. Slimani offers an aerial threat but you lose that link up that Shinji offers. A couple of other comments: 1. Ranieri leaving subs to the last ten minutes to close out the game has been successful twice, but I don't like it, we had a number of players dead on their feet and we needed an injection of fresh legs around 70 minutes. 2. The ref was class 3. Grewks is why we have the ignore function 4. What a save by Kasper

But also be disappointed with some absolute horse shit football that we've served up in all three games. The margins are very fine in football and we've had a slice of luck we haven't in the prem this year. In every game the oppo could easily of had a few goals and missed some great chances. The football today, especially first half was utterly woeful. Hoof, hoof, hoof... Oh another hoof. We're better then that, as we showed on the few occasions we decided to pass it on the floor and then support the player. First half I lost count of how many times someone received the ball and then everyone just ran away from him leaving no simple ball, leading to an inevitable punt. It feels like through last season and this we heard people say we were just a counter attacking / long ball team and abandoned the decent football we were also capable of, in favour of the over the top ball every other kick. At our best that's not just what we can do, we had and have more ability than that. That's what's so disappointing. Anyway, a great three points and a great champions league so far! Can't fault the points on the board.
