Has been playing centre mid for the reserves Could be the reason why we're leaving him out so often, training him up to be a natural CM? I had him down as a winger, think that's where he plays for Poland.
Dan Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 Every little thing is going against us in the sense that everything went for us last season, in the league anyway. Always a risk when you fail to sign an adequate midfield. Two available midfielders after that much spending. It's indefensible. Drinkwater as well is a complete idiot for that. What was he thinking?
lgfualol Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 Good job we bought 2 quality CMs in case we lost him to suspension/injury. cries

Terraloon Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 The way the season is running it's the games against the likes of Middlesbrough and Sunderland you want your best players available and whilst some may well think that these will be easier games I suspect that they are in for a bit of a shock. The next 13 league games are going to clearly define Leicesters league season for there not just the normal demands but you have the hectic Christmas period followed by the AFCON which is going to impact more than at any other club in thePL. Is the squad able to cope with the additional demands? If those 13 games don't yield more points per game than the season to date then the last third of the season is not going to be pretty.

No wonder he's facing a ban. In all seriousness, this isn't good, is it? Precisely the position where we most lack cover. We might be alright with Amartey sitting deep, King as main creator and Okazaki joining to make a 3 in central midfield. But that would certainly require King to up his creative game and physical commitment. He might be capable of that.....sometimes... There's also the fact that Okazaki rarely lasts more than 60-70 mins. Mahrez could switch to AMC, as we're not short of wingers, but does he have the energy/work rate? The prospect of a 2-man Amartey/King midfield causes trepidation. We'd presumably have to either attack through hoof-ball or use the wings a lot. I could see even the likes of Boro and Sunderland over-running that midfield, though, if there were just the two of them in there...
psychonaut Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 This was always going to happen wasn't it. We were all begging for a CM for months during the summer as anyone with half a brain cell could see we were a Drinkwater away from plunging our centre midfield into the realms of mid table Championship.
st albans fox Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 This should have been done on monday the club have to prepare for a Tuesday and Saturday fixture and knowing that a player won't be available is surely vital?? one assumes they were informed 'off the record ' on Monday. i will clean my boots later in case I'm needed
ZeGuy Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 DD was at the end of the rope and the first cracks started to appear in the last two games. This stupid elbow is simply the cherry on top. Too much work for him. Can't be changed. Curious to see what CR will cook for the Boro game now.
brucey Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 at least he can play vs Porto to give our only 2 other CMs a rest for the league...
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 Is James not fit enough to be on the bench given he's played 2 90 mins now for the u23s? Kapustka? Recall Hamza?
AyewJoking Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 hopefully we'll somehow improve without drinkwater. have amartey do all the dirty work and give king the freedom to service the forwards. it looks bleak but its not like we are fantastic when drinkwater is playing.

David Guiza Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 RE Hamza, I could be wrong but I didn't think clubs could recall season long loan deals?
goose2010 Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 frustrating but not a lot can be done now. for me i would go RR Fuchs Huth Morgan Simpson Amarty King Albrighton Okazaki Marhrez Vardy Shinji will give us a bit more support. Or even..... RR Fuchs Huth Morgan Simpson Amarty King Vardy Okazaki Marhrez Silimani Get Matty James on the bench or even one of the development squad players.
stevebrock Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 drink water has until 18:00 tonight to respond has to admit guilt otherwise ban will be longer 3 match ban starting Saturday
RoyFox Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 Claudio - 'Hey Jeff, can you plays centre midfield for us?'
stevebrock Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 Will be interesting Saturday - can't wait lets be positive

If the former, he'll miss Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Man City; if the latter, Porto (instead of Man C).
stevebrock Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 doesn't apply to Porto - he will miss Boro Sunderland Man City
mazarron fox Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 What's the sp on kaputska? Seems to have disappeared from the radar

If he then appeals against any sanction then yes it's then possible the ban would be increased but if he denies the charge and asks for a personal hearing I think you will find the panel only make a judgment on the charge and not make any descion at all on the length of the ban
AKCJ Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 Amartey and King need to play as well as we know they can. Neither are bad players but both are in awful form.
filbertway Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 If Kapustka can't make the squad now then Ranieri has completely lost it. Unless of course one of the academy lads step up.
