Drinky started the season off well but has been a bit of a calamity in recent matches so his enforced absence hasn't particularly come at the worst possible time. His pass backs in the last two league games led to goals that conceivably cost the side 4 points. I'd like Musa to get a decent run in midfield now so we can see what he is made of.

Luckily, that ban covers two out of three matches (Boro at home & Sunderland away) where we have a better chance of getting something out of it even without Drinkwater.

Hes really put himself and us into this situation, instead of whacking the guy in the neck with an elbow dominate the midfield with the ball and play them off the park like last season. Undoubtedly Drinky is the engine of the team; when he plays well the team does, when hes off form like recently in the League we dont.

 

But it leaves a hole for someone to step up and state a claim in these next few matches, progress through and come out stronger

drinkwater has been our worst player for a few games in a row anyway. so probably a good time to lose him rather than them like 3 months when he was our only half decent player.
