stripeyfox Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 Ha, at least they've not got to go back to the Bridge this weekend to get their noses rubbed in at the scene of their greatest "bottling". Ah, wait....
Nick Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 You sweat blood to get into the top four to perform like they have? It's a bit bizarre - I was reading the BBC commentary toward the end of the match and it was kinda saying that with 10 minutes to go they didn't even look like a side digging in and chucking the kitchen sink at the cause.....
Livid Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 That is an awful club. They went through all those EL games last year to throw in the towel when they drew Dortmund. Last night they did a similar thing against Monaco. Mugs on Talksport now saying they should throw the kids in against CSKA regardless of the best part of 100000 tickets already sold. They get all they deserve.
The People's Hero Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 Probably won't get in next year either, since we'll have 'ruined our co-efficient' by then.
The People's Hero Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 I don't get too involved in the Spurs baiting, since football is cyclical and we all know its only a matter of time before we are going through it and they are going well (arguably like the league this season)... BUT... last season's Europa League and Premier League capitulations and their non-show in the CL this year - the manner of all three has been about the Spursiest thing ever. Poch has turned the Spursy dial to 11.
Jon the Hat Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 When they qualified for the Champions League loads of people were sceptical. They said it was a waste of a space, think of the co-efficient they said. What if they embarrass the Premier League, and the whole of English football? But, they earned their chance. They qualified fair and square and so we had to give them a go. There was always the hope that the other teams would be strong enough to compensate, and three clubs through to the knock-outs wouldn’t be bad.And yet, here we are six months later and all the worst predictions came true.Bloody Spurs. GaelicFox Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 Imagine being a black Rasta and being called a filthy Yid all afternoon being a Spurs fan is a complicated business
foxy boxing Posted 24 November 2016 Posted 24 November 2016 you should support your English clubs in Europe because the better they all do the better it is for the premier league in general they are just a bunch of bottlers who when it comes to the crunch cannot handle the pressure. there pychologists must be working overtime right now
danieldelap Posted 2 December 2016 Posted 2 December 2016 Not as funny as Leicester winning the league only to be relegated the following season. You're only doing well in the CL because you've had a piss easy group. I knew Spurs squad was better than Leicester and it's showing this season in the league. To think most of you thought Vardy was better than Kane the definition of a 'one season wonder'

Last season our squad performed better. This season you are performing better. The question of who has the actual best squad goes down to what they have achieved. Which you fall flat on your face with i'm afraid. If Vardy turns out to be a 1 season wonder then so be it. It was one hell of a season. If you had the choice of a '1 season wonder' winning the league then seasons of mediocrity or a consistently good striker but not win anything i know who i would choose. I am interested to know what your view is on the CSKA Moscow game. Do you want to get into the Europa League or just crash out and focus on the league?

People don't respect your club. Isn't it a bit contradictory to call Vardy a one season wonder when he's only had 3 months of bad form?

Personally I want us to try and win every competition we are in, we a club with a great cup tradition and built our reputation as one of the best clubs in the world with our cup wins. If you were to ask me would I rather gain entry to the CL from finishing 2-4th or winning the Europa I'd choose a trophy every time. But no you don't have a better squad than us, you got extremely lucky with momentum and some hilarious decisions from officials. Not to mention you had players from every other club rooting for you, teams openly saying they wanted you to win the league before matches against us and there you have it. If your squad was truely the best in the land you'd be showing it again this season, it's no surprise to me that you're back to extremely mediocre.

Tottenham Hotspur are a far more respected club than Leicester City to be fair. Yes people got behind you last season and they were always going to, a very little club overperforming and beating the big boys to the title. If I wasn't a Spurs fan and we weren't the best side in the country last season I'd have been cheering you on too.

To think most of you thought Vardy was better than Kane the definition of a 'one season wonder' Yeah because CSKA, Monoco and Leverkusen are really difficult aren't they? You finished third in the Premier League; you should have easily qualified out your group. And we won the PL so we 'deserve' a 'piss easy group'. You weren't the best side in the Country last season hence you didn't win the league. You were the third best. Teams might 'fluke' knockout competitions but over a 30+ game season the table doesn't lie. Kane is better than Vardy though, agree with that, I personally never said any different. Kane will probably get 20+ goals this season again. Top player. Will be interesting to see if he ever ends up wanting to leave if you don't win any trophies though.

Momentum, something which EVERY team who wins a title usually has to take them to the top honour. Hilarious decisions. As if the referees led us to three defeats and 81 points over 38 games. Not sure any officiating decisions you feel we may have had had affected your performances against WBA, Chelsea etc. Face it, we cost you your best chance at a title in years because we were simply better than you. You might be better than us in league position from now until the end of the century but we'll still have that Premier League title you will so forever crave.

Performance against Chelsea - players lost their heads, not helped by the comments Chelsea players had been making before hand about wanting you win win the league - see what i'm saying about how many outside influences helped you lot last season.
