You can't afford 4 or 5 players who aren't any good on the ball. Many of their players are nothing special. Have been nothing special, not famed for great technique etc. They are just coached by someone who gets his players supporting each other and creating options. Their passing isn't amazing stuff, it's just a short pass and lots of movement, that's coaching. We don't have any players not capable of kicking it in a straight line 6ft. We played far better football under Pearson with far more limited footballers than we currently have available.
