I tell you what though. There is something quite magical about a good, freshly baked Jammy doughnut. Not a dead stodgy supermarket one. A proper baker one.

It's pretty simple isn't it? We are playing to a formula that worked last year. Sit back. Hit teams on the break.

The difference is that our central midfield aren't close to comparing to last year.  Janet often broke down play 15 yards further up the pitch, with the opposition pouring forward.

We could always rely on Janet.

This is a huge half.  If we play poorly, fail to score and lose, the Man City result will quickly disappear into the distance.  If we get stuck in, play well, score and get a draw or even three points, the tentative recovery is back on track.  Positivity people!

What bemuses me - well ok, f##cking irritates me big time - is everyone else can see what is wrong tactically but Claudio seemingly can't. I hope Saturday wasn't a one-off but it is looking that way.

The football doesn't have to be pretty but it has to be positive and played at a higher intensity. If we gonna hoof it, you need to win the second ball. There's no point sitting off. Burnley were a great example of that against Bournemouth.

Its two way street. Manager clearly not communicating any differing game plan dependent on opposition and players not respecting lesser opponents equalling a lack of effort. Some of the players think they've achieved it, completed it and the club haven't done enough to stop that complacency.

Vardy should have at least scored one but hit it too far forward hardly managerial tactics lol

Bit hash, he had to stretch to get to the ball as their keeper was an inch from him, running at pace and not having the time to try and get a deft touch on it. He only had time to make any kind of contact. Thought Slims was a far better chance.

All depressingly predictable so far. One good performance against Man City does not mean that a midfield of King and Amartey is ever going to be good enough ..... and we desperately need Schmeichel back.

Henandez only really has the long throw in terms of redeeming features. Too many poor players we're carrying at the moment.

Don't really think we've played that badly, especially in the context of this season. We're actually creating today, we were unlucky not to convert with the pressure we exerted - two good chances for Huth and Vardy deflected and cleared respectively.

Zieler winning around his critics with a great save, then 2 seconds later conceding with a decent strike through a limp hand to have them on his back again.

I'm still confident of getting something out of this, need to stop giving Wilshere as much joy though. Maybe have Vardy or Slim sit deeper to man-mark him when not directly involved in play?

That the Amartey who this season who has created more chances than King and Drinkwater, had more key passes, and got as many assists.

Perhaps we should question their wasteful and pointless forward passes if they aren't creating anything?

As many assists, being 1?

They've all been poor this season. King isn't a metric to compare by, as we know he isn't premier league standard. Drinkwater has also been poor, but at least we know he potentially has it in him, and is more comfortable on the ball.

We should sign Ake

You missed the C.

Good input though. Specifically what sort of cake ? And do you have a good bakery you frequent ? Where is it ? Would you recommend it ?

Take away the goals and that was a world class performance?

Possibly the stupidest comment I've ever seen on this forum. The goals were part of the performance. Take away the attacking play and you've just got a solid defensive performance. Take away the defensive performance and you've just got clinical and ruthless attacking. You can't take out part of the performance and then declare that it must have been luck.

We need to work on our passing accuracy. Morgan and huth can't pass for sh!t. Amartey can't pass forwards. King's accuracy is terrible. I know we're not a possession team but since we've been sussed by all the teams now we need to get some passes completed to try and break through an organised team like bmouth

What about Bartosz 'Ronaldo Messidinhio' Kapustka?

Do we still have Leon Crncic and Ricky 'Sapplezilla' Sappleton?

This year, we have too far to travel to hit the red accurately on the break and the central defenders still sit deep.

There isn't a better striker in Europe than vardy on running into spacebehind. But there isn't a worse striker in the premier league if we try to play slow build up.

We are "trying" to hit him quickly, but without him having space to run into or a creative central midfield. It won't work.

Wiltshire is a classy midfielder. We aren't close enough to him (he is finding clever space) and therefore we are pulled out of position all over the pitch.

Not easy to fix. Not when we are so reliant on vardy for goals.

But hey, it's Leicester. It's never a smooth ride!

No its not simple

as we are not setup to play like last year away from home, i believe earlier in the season we nearly set a new record of 5 consecutive away games with no shots in the 1st half
