No he wasn't. Successive managers saw nothing in him. That's not underrating, that's not being good enough.

Yes of course as the evidence is there with the only tekkers being the mighty hoffenheim. We took a chance on the hype and it was a fail.

Okazaki & Zagorakis for me.

Wouldn't surprise me to see people revisiting this thread in a few years and typing in names like Slimani, Musa and Amartey too....

Was Knockaert under rated? He was almost unanimously adored among our fan base. Rightly, too.

I would say he was over rated to be fair.

Didn't stop me loving him to bits, mind.

Wellens became a joke and a scapegoat later on in his career here, obviously he declined but the revisionism was unfair. He was one of our best players for a long while and I think he only cost £1m

There is no evidence, he played a handful of games at most and we judge on the manager not picking him therefore he is shite. The manager didn't pick Amartey, or Gray or Chillwell until he had no real options but to.

Oakley, Hume, Fryatt and Jonny ****ing Hayes all applauded and some of our fans still think Premier League winning Danny Simpson is bollocks.

I think it was quite clear that FoxesTalk rated him.

He was decent by all accounts.

Pretty sure Hayes was a Martin Allen signing?

Absolutely right, joined us in 07-08... feel like the OP might have written his Wiki page too...

He got his first start for the club on 1 December, against Southampton on the left wing and showed his speed and determination in an under- performing Leicester side.

lol

Surely there has to be an entry requirement on these things? I thought underrated meant someone who had been here, played 50 games upwards or had a solid season on loan for us and moved on. Hayes barely made 10 before disappearing.

Most overrated more like. He's so poor.

Point proven. You don't win the league carrying a player.

Garry Parker- best passer of the ball we've had in my 30odd years of watching City.

Could control a game from start to finish without really running.

Agree mate.

Although he did get quite a lot of recognition for his good performances, but Marton Fulop was an outstanding keeper in the season he was on loan with us. Very under rated goalkeeper.

Sadly no longer with us.
