TJB-fox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Something has to change, and sadly we can't replace 20 players in the squad so unfortunately Ranieri does need to leave. MAJORLY let down by the players he galvanised so brilliantly last season

And be I don't want to be part of a soulless business Being sentimental is great, is your logic on it really going to be a consolation when we're playing Burton next year?
Joefox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Give him his statue. Name a road after him. Give him a job for life upstairs if he wants it but for heavens sake we a managerial change immediately considering we can't change everyone of those embarresments on the pitch. it took us 10 years to return to the premier league. There is no place for sentiment in this scenario. We all agree last year was a freak season. The owners wanted us established as a top flight team. I say all this with a very heavy heart but he needs to go now before it's too late.
The Guvnor Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 There is no loyalty in football, look at the body language of our players highlighted today it's all fallen apart ask yourself is CR the man to motivate this team, pause, now you have the answer.
Jakemoore Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 I don't want him to be sacked. I want him to quit.

Ever seen a punch drunk boxer. Time catches up with everyone. Unless we make a change at the back and bring Amartey in who at least we know can play a bit I dont think those 4 can keep us up.
Tuna Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Gary Rowett as manager with 'Arry Redknapp as DOF, Rudkin thrown out the helicopter. Surely 'Arry will find us a few players.
VIKTOR-LE5 Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 People saying stick with him can puck off soft cnuts, thank you Ranieri for last season, but please resign
splinterdream Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 I think we have the players to survive but I think a new manager needs to stamp his identity on the team, picking new players and maybe looking at training techniques. Musa, Gray, N'didi, Chilwell all deserve more game time. Emphasis needs to be put on effort rather than past reputations.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 The players are more to blame than Claudio... but we can't change them now. Whatever is going on, Ranieri and this bunch of players is NOT working. Something needs to change or we're literally gonna lose every game from now on. Sadly it has to be the manager, we need to bring in someone who commands respect and gets the ungrateful lazy b@st@rds playing with some fight again.

TheUltimateWinner Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 even in the press Ranieri is on a different wavelength to what the players say so would hate to think what the dressing room is like

I would normally agree, but they look the shadow of their former selves. Fuchs gets owned everytime he plays, Huth never has had pace but he looks like his legs have gone. As for Morgan, he just seems to stand there and Gaup. Simpson has never been blessed with passing ability, but at least occasionally hes in the right place, For a captain i see no leadership, ive not seen him in a post match interview saying the right things Sacking Raniera probably isnt going to happen, but if continues we are going down for sure

Old Fox Posted 5 February 2017 Posted 5 February 2017 Stunned ......for those being derogatory about Claudio you should be ashamed ......he deserves a bit of respect from every LCFC fan even if you think he is to blame. Personally I think the whole club chairman, directors, recruitment, training, manager and players have made such a mess off the back of our historical season. Watching Claudio today and his interaction with the coaches clearly there are issues and it appears unrepairable. The Chairman has to decide if he backs the manager irrespective of relegation or flips a coin with a change. If it's the latter I hope they manage it jointly with Claudio so he can be treated with respect. Today was so sad to watch him and I actually believe that it will make no difference ....the players look completely shot physically and mentally. The desire, hunger, work rate was poor and doing the basics have been completely forgotten and that's not the managers fault who has protected them so much. Very very sad and just not good enough.
