chinna Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 He's right.... http://m.leicestermercury.co.uk/listen-to-the-west-ham-fan-who-says-leicester-supporters-should-shut-up-moaning/story-30133148-detail/story.html
Fox96 Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Is he? Premier League winners or not, is 0 wins away from home this season, 0 league goals in 2017 really acceptable? Yes we will still have the memories of winning the league, but i can guarantee this lad wouldn't be saying this if it was his team he was watching every week. So fed up of this "shut up moaning" from other clubs tripe.
AKCJ Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Absolute nonsense. Absolutely sick to the back teeth of people spewing this patronising shite. What are you on about "so what?" if we go down? What utter drivel. If we go down then we lose everything we've been building over the last 8 years since promotion to the Championship. If we go down it'll be a travesty for this club. Sick of the media and other fans making out as if we have to just accept failure and embarrassment because we're not as big as the usual title winners. Nah, **** that.
Old Fox Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 I agree with the sentiment as we have experienced something that many fans will never.....however, I like thousands of others can live with relegation if we weren't being served up complete drivel by a set of dysfunctional players...... I maybe a rarity but I am torn as Claudio deserves better but I also know he has upset the squad internally and we live in an age where player power exists....it stinks but something has to give......
Sir Shep Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Oh the irony! Hammers are just as much a fickle bunch as we are. By winning the league doesn't make it ok to be relegated the next season, cockney logic eh!
KFS Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Whilst I agree to some extent, these boys aren't showing the fight and determination that they did last year. That's the sad part.
Gerard Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 We all would have swapped relegation this season for winning the league last season but we didn't win it with strings attached. We won the league and it was brilliant but we need to do what's best for our future. Not going down with a smile on our face watching the 2015/16 DVD on repeat.
davieG Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 I'm not so sure it's the possibility of relegation that's the problem it's the way we are heading there with toothless, poor football, bad/weak recruitment. We'll eventually get relegated anyway just like 65% (approx) of the PL will, whether that's this year in 5 years or when the owners decide they've had enough but sure as night follows day we'll be back in the Championship, We're LCFC.
SecretPro Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Only really thick people can come to the same conclusions as that Westham fan. Why we giving these nonfans that have no understanding of the work and effort that's been put in over the last decade to build this club from the ground up airtime and indeed air.
Volpe Viola Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 It's not the defeats it's the manner of the defeats. It's not the relegation but the manner and the hopeless certainty of it. I seem to remember Wes Morgan saying after the Old Trafford horror show that this was "just a blip". Some blip.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 It's actually cheered me up a little bit. Actually many fans of many clubs would give their right arm to be in our position as champions. If this is the price to pay then so be it. I'm greedy tho, I'd rather we had our cake and ate it!
BenTheFox Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 They're the same fanbase that hounded out a manager that got them promoted and comfortably in mid-table. Are we even that fickle? The managers name still gets sung at games.
smr Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Funnily enough I thought the exact same thing before we won the title - even if we got relegated the season after I wouldn't care. A member of this forum posted something like it and I was like yeah me too, wouldn't care. But after you've won the league, a few months after, that euphoria starts to wilt away a fair bit and those memories as amazing as they are become just that, memories, shelved and stored away. Took me a while to see it like that and I'll still sit here and am yet to watch a couple of dvds I've bought or been given of last season (especially cant bring myself to watch them right now) but anyway, you start to get back to feeling like how it's always felt - being a Leicester fan is fraught with the unknown and whilst I thought we'd be definitely on for a top 10 finish we've gone back into that usual Leicester City mode of not knowing whether we're going up or down and not looking stable. So everything about last year just fades away pretty quickly... then you start thinking "Championship"? How ****ing difficult it is to get out of that league - how heart breaking play offs can be, and then other things like not playing in the best league in the world, losing players due to wage demands and inability to pay them/ losing players who want to play in the premier league still, and it all just feels like going back to square one. Yes we won the Premier League, but we want to stay in it.
Harry - LCFC Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Whether he means to or not, he seem to be implying that we should be content even if we get relegated this season.Strange thing to say. There are two problems with what he's saying. 1. Football didn't just stop for us at the end of last season. The club goes on and we're still here, wanting it to do well. We're not suddenly gonna take a five year break. 2. The "would you have taken it?" question is a hypothetical one that isn't grounded in reality. What I mean by that is that our present difficulties are not the logical consequence of our title win, it wasn't as if we had to exchange points won this season for points won last season.
surrifox Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Other teams' fans are going to want us to stick with CR - that doesn't take much figuring out

Let's remind them of their bullshit "West Ham" way talk a few years ago. Yeah keep your nose out of our business.
RowlattsFox Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Basically we've given up any right to be unhappy because we won the league. It's not the threat of relegation that is causing the annoyance, not in my case anyway, but it's the manner of the performances.
FoxesDeb Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 I really don't mind what happens now. I've had my dreams come true last season, and I'm happy to go back to the norm. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined last season, and nothing will better it. I know things could be better, in hindsight we could have pushed on, but really who was expecting us to be in the position we found ourselves in? I said quite early on last season, joking, that I would take relegation this season if it meant we won the league last year, and I stand by that. After all, I was expecting to be relegated last season! I know my view is in the minority, and I'm as disappointed as the next person with the way things are going in the league. But we are in the last 16 of the Champions League, we're having a good cup run and we are the Champions. For now. And we have an awful lot of fvcking spoilt fans.

We may have sold our souls to Buddha for one glorious season. We may be in the painfull Dukkha stage.. Dukkha is a central concept of Buddhism and part of its Four Noble Truths doctrine, and a central characteristic of life in this world. It can be translated as "incapable of satisfying, the unsatisfactory nature and the general insecurity of all conditioned phenomena"; "painful Dukkha is most commonly translated as "suffering," which is an incorrect translation, since it refers not to literal suffering, but to the ultimately unsatisfactory nature of temporary states and things, including pleasant but temporary experiences . Woooooooooo.

HybridFox Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 It took us 10 years to come back to the Premier League. 10 years! Some clubs have been down longer. With the championship becoming increasingly competitive, there's no guarantee that won't happen again. More recently, ask Aston Villa how their season is going. So yes it does matter!
