Stadt Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 I can't see it going well, Conceição really turned Nantes around because he was really authoritarian and energetic and their players responded well to that. Their chairman Waldemar Kita is mental as well.
Chico1958 Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 I'm really glad for him if it comes off. If he would have gone to an English Club we would have had joy of his interviews again But we would have the " I told you so's " coming out if he didn't pull it off. So to the man who was at the helm of our greatest ever achievement, I wish him but best wishes, best of luck and thanks for my greatest memory to date. Just a thought though, he's managed to get a job quicker than Nigel, strange that Ps: Claudio you still have a piece of my heart and you gave me a memory that will last forever and that's a fair exchange as far as I'm concerned.
Webbo Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Good luck to him. I haven't got a bad word to say about him.
Tielemans63 Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 He's not confirmed as Nantes manager yet. He just needs to become at least 6 months younger before he's announced.

French league has gave special dispensation... He is now their NANTES manager.. Football or Coliseum, not yet sure....
iamafox Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Good to see him continue his managerial career after what happened a few months ago
VLC86 Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Surely not the only one going over to France to cheer him on.
Ted Maul Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 I'm just glad he's gone abroad. Could you imagine the wave of support for the team he was managing when they played us?! And the delight when he inevitably beat us.
norwichfox Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Good luck to the man, I'm pleased something turned up for him.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Hope to see him do well, but don't expect him to do well. Good to see he's got a job though, the job he has got shows how far last season affected his reputation however.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 13 June 2017 Posted 13 June 2017 Really hope he does well, he'll forever have my utmost respect for what sheer joy he bought me and the whole of Leicestershire.
EnglishOxide Posted 14 June 2017 Posted 14 June 2017 I wouldn't be suprised to see him take Nantes to the top 4/5. Monaco might lose a few players and PSGs star is waning whilst the rest aren't all that. Plus he knows the league and what it takes. Good luck to Claudio.
WigstonWanderer Posted 15 June 2017 Posted 15 June 2017 Good luck to him and wish him well, but not really sure why he's bothering. Reached the pinnacle of his career with us in 15/16, and at 65 surely doesn't have anything left to prove. Can't need the money either. It it was me I'd just retire.

But that's why neither of us have had successful careers in professional sport. It's like a drug for these people. Hard to kick the habit.
