GaelicFox Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Well then , we are in bottom 3 ! Manager gone players being vilified globally so the question right now is do you believe we are staying up ?
AmarteyAndChill Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 I think we will go down. Not because of sacking Claudio, because of the lack of quality and togetherness in the squad.
Legend_in_blue Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Yes. I can see us turning over Liverpool on Monday night. I can also see us getting a positive result at home against Sevilla which will continue to spark a mini revival. You're only as good as your last game and if we start as we ended the last game with that same intensity, we will be fine. 5 wins required from 13. Turn over Liverpool and Hull and that'll be 3 wins required from 11. Easily doable.
Countryfox Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Absolutely nothing would surprise me now with this lot ... Could win every game ... Or lose every game ! ... Never a dull moment !
surrifox Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 As Marechal Foch once said " my front is collapsing, my right is in full retreat , situation excellent I shall attack "
Izzy Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Yep. But I've got absolutely no reasoning or evidence to suggest why, just a gut feeling.
NewEnglandFox Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 I have hope. More so than last week as the club is finally doing something about it.
Kitchandro Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 There's always hope but looking at all available evidence you'd have to say no. Changing a manager isn't like flicking a switch, you can't just forge a good mentality and form out of thin air. We're bereft of anything you'd want in a football team at the moment.
Thracian Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Simple answer "No". I think we've left it too late and invited ever greater pressure on ourselves. Any new manager, even an insider, has a massive task to right all the wrongs aired on here these last few months. You'd almost need a magic wand. That doesn't mean I've lost hope any more than I'e lost hope of us staying in the Champions League. At least the situation is still within our own hands even now we've slipped down among the dying, if not quite dead yet. But so much has to change and within a team that's shown no signs of being as good as last years. Palace have done what I expected under Allardyce and climbed out of the bottom three which will be a massive psychological boost. The question for me is whether we can overtake Middlesbrough and keep Hull beneath us. That might make Hull at home decisive but we need impetus before then.

Buzzell Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 I'm saying yes but it's a big ask. I'm hoping Shakey can kick a few arse's and we get a positive reaction on Monday night.
SecretPro Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 A bit of belief in here would be nice. There still 13 games left ffs. People banging on about Rowett because he'd sort us out in the championship need to get a grip and show some faith. It's doable. We've done it before.
AyewJoking Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 think we were definitely going down with claudio. still think we're going down but without claudio holding us back we have at least a chance. failure to add significant quality in january was suicidal
Realist Guy In The Room Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 We're down regardless of who we get in.
foxinsox Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 1 minute ago, Sharpe's Fox said: Depends who we get in. Amartey was CB in a semifinal of AFCON and deserves a start.
ZeGuy Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Who knows, if Shakey get them to turn up maybe there is glimmer of hope. I believe we will stay up.
davieG Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Hopefully it will create a siege mentality. One almost hopes there was a falling out with CR and with him gone they'll finally get their boots out of their arses.
Ralph Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Down. Players over paid and think they are better than they are. In the end only Smeichal will be a top, top footballer.
ithuriel Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Depends if there is enough time left to halt the decline, especially since other teams have improved and are over taking us.
FLAN Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Not sure what Shakespeare can do. He's been there throughout and surely had some influence. I don't envisage any major personnel changes so what's gonna happen???
splinterdream Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 we do have the players, if they're allowed to play how they think they should be playing and get a result then we'll get out of it
Patrick Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Completely depends on who we appoint. We know what this squad is capable of, if we get someone decent who can motivate the players we'll stay up imo.
Sir Shep Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 I think we're down, really can't see our form picking up.
