ZeGuy Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Hull will sit back and wait. It never worked really good for us. I'm expecting a 1-0 or 2-1 win.
David Lowe Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Hull much better recently. A draw is not a disaster.

The long ball over the top will be dealt with much better I think, so we may have to find another way of creating chances. We have the players to do that though, and with Slimani and Ulloa available, we have a different option if we need someone to hold it up. If we can have the same effort, then we should win. Hull, even after a mini-revival, are still a team lacking in quality and so if we can use tonight to get us playing with some more confidence, then I think we could be too much for them. We just have to be able to keep our never, especially if things don't go our way early on, and we go a goal down. We can't afford to let the heads drop. I'm sure we will see the same team again, but we will need to come up with other ways of breaking them down, as I think they will be well drilled to stop the ball to Vardy. I would have Gray for Mahrez and then bring on Slimani and Mahrez if we are struggling to find a break through. You do realise that none of our goals came from a long ball over the top tonight? Through ball, volleyed return of a clearance, and cross were the outlets.
Torten Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Can't see this not being a cagey affair. It won't be like Liverpool, Hull weren't that naive on the opening day and they won't be now especially considering what's on the line. 1 goal in it and obviously I hope it'll go to us.
Chester Dontlie Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Agreed, a massive game. Just let Shakey and the players do the same, show the same intensity and flexibility so we know they know... Just rinse and repeat lads 4-0 Leicester Hull will leak
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 After tonight vardy and others like drinky will need a good rest this week... Then get them fired up to the same level they were tonight. The players shouldn't drop of their level of effort, commitment and determination.
Foxxed Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Another game for the guys to prove they were right. Get this right, and something at either Arsenal or Sevilla, then happy days once again.
Kasey Keller Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 If we can get three points here with bournemouth most likely getting a thumping at old trafford, wba beating palace, stoke need a reaction after there mauling and will hopefully put a few past boro, sunderland will get dicked by city and swansea burnley will be probrably a bore draw...all of a sudden things look a bit better going into the seville game
Benguin Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Win this and we will likely be 14th and 5 points clear with Stoke and Sunderland at home to look forward too. Add a 1-0 win at home to Sevilla and suddenly our season of despair could turn out to be another corker.
HighPeakFox Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 I suspect Hull will have watched us tonight and not fancy it quite so much now...
AmarteyAndChill Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 This is must win game for hull, while a must not lose for us. We need to keep the game tight and they may get desperate because of position they are in. I don't want us to go gun hoe though.

Something that might not work at the weekend if Hull don't commit defenders forward and don't leave the space in behind for us to expose. We have struggled all season with teams that sit deep and allow us the ball. Obviously we got a huge amount of effort tonight that we haven't seen all season, so hopefully we get that again, but we may have to be more patient in our build up play, if the ball over the top is not an option. I'm expecting a tight, scrappy affair, with them being very strict and organised in defence, not allowing us much space in attack. Hopefully, we can still create things and we have options on the bench to give us an aerial threat in the box.
sdb Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Massive game. Will need to be patient I suspect. Hopefully Tony get wasn't a one off and the players are raring to go from here on in.
ZeGuy Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 If we win the game and sincerely hope we'll win it, that would be the first time we could string 2 consecutive wins this season.
Tuna Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Nice to go into a match feeling confident for once. They don't score much, play like we did today and we'll outgun them.

He's clearly very low on confidence and a goal would really help him out. Don't underestimate what a return to form for Riyad would mean to the team. I wonder how Hull will setup. It's just as much a 6 pointer for them as it is for us and draws ultimately won't do them that good. We will see both Gray and Mahrez during the game, with Mahrez likely starting given the importance of the occasion. Keep the same team I belive gray will have more impact if he comes on second half. Let's not start tinkering that doesn't work IMO
foxes_rule1978 Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 People saying Mahrez sgould be dropped ... I don't think so keep it the same, teams are scared of Mahrez, and infact he made the third goal brilliantly, and was involved in almost a fourth. He has magic like none of our other players, that is why the opposition drop two or three players on him...
Detroit Blues Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 This team is just so much better when mahrez is on. Gray also seems to be more effective off the bench, running against tired legs. I'd keep that for now, but let gray know he can earn his way into the starting XI.
Goober Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Riyad definitely starts this if it were up to me. Exact same team as tonight, same game plan and attitude and i'm not too worried. Shakey will set us up right.
brucey Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Same team for the rest of the season. Too bad for Gray but he can do his customary 10 mins per game again. Ulloa and Slim can fight it out for who gets to replace Shinji at 65 mins. Amartey can come on if we need to protect a lead.
TheLittleBigMan Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Definitely a group of fixtures that will give us a better picture of who's more likely to go down. A win could distance us just a little from this equation. These guy's will gobble up balls into the box so hope we get the ball down and play. Clean sheet a must first and foremost. Different prospect to the pool.
