Wishing your opposition good luck on social media is up there with goal music in the things that have no place in football chart.

The fans do not want to see it - it doesn't show class, it shows that your social media team are a bunch of tarts.

Exactly - it's a back handed after thought.

The football club have no control over fans and the police. Nice touch Seville FC.

Given what I seen at the away leg, stewards pointing people out and then being bystanders whilst innocent folk got belted. Only club on our trips so far who refused to use the recommended FA stewards we had at Copenhagen, Porto and Bruges.

Thought Sampaoli was disrespectful before both legs. He treated us as a pub team. He's been humbled and he can **** right off now.

No, but that doesn't disqualify what @fuchsntf said. Two wrongs don't make a right, so why, if generalisations about us aren't true, generalizations about others must be true?

I was making a judgement on the people I saw from what I witnessed first hand. Like I said before, wankers.

I was about to say this, or a version of this.

It's not the club wishing us luck, it's not the players wishing us luck, or the fans, or the coach. It's just the club's social media team with a meaningless ****ing tweet.

I've lived in Spain and can say that the Spanish as a whole are a kind, generous and friendly people. Certainly much more so than your average Englishman / woman.

In general their football fans are the same.

Sevilla obviously have their own unsavoury travelling element but judging by some of our own fans behaviour in Sevilla, I wouldn't be surprised if revenge was on their minds.

Yeah, i'm sure the local bulls think the same. I've never met a kind, generous and friendly person who enjoyed parading an animal’s ears, tail and testicles around town on a ceremonial spear. (see blood fiestas)

So ALL Sevilla fans Can be tarnished with the same brush.......You obviously met, spoke and exchanged niceties with every single

One  of them.....My nephew spent a whole day with 2 groups of them, until the early hrs..What should I believe..???

A ranting Group of Leicester Souness type clones.....

Sevilla are the most violent club I've encountered by a long way. Yes, they weren't all like that but it seems like a lot of them were. I don't see them as friends.

Like de ja vu from all our players 'thank you Ranieri' tweets .

Personally i didn't see any issues with their fans but every club has its idiots. We took plenty to Sevilla..

Exactly. Perfect opportunity to be as smug as you want and we're wasting time with this 'Ohh, love me' shite.

We should have replied with 'good riddance, give us a proper test next @UEFA'

No, we just shouldn't have responded.

He's right though, before the game they were all matey matey good luck and all that sort of stuff, then walked out after the game said bad luck to one of their fans and he nearly ripped my head of, until I pointed out I had me stone island stuff on that is.

We were seated in the West stand just round the corner from the Family Stand and there was a sizeable group of Sevilla fans to our right. A good many of them shook our hands and wished us well in the next round. They were stunned at the end, no question,  but magnanimous just the same. And there was no hint of trouble at any time even though there was no segregation, just a communal stairway between us.

Fans in a nation known for politeness are criticising their social media manager for being polite? If they want to say "thanks, good bye and good luck" then that's fine with me. A ferious fight ending with politeness sounds like one of our better qualities.

For what it's worth I've spent a couple hours reading Sevilla forums through google translate and there is pretty much zero dislike towards us or Vardy, surprisingly. Most of the bile is directed towards Sampaoli's tactical decisions, especially not getting them to practice pens or have a designated pen/fk taker.

Give me fkn strength, I had a magnificent evening and did not see anything untoward.

Fantastic achievement by the boys, tremendous atmosphere and effort from the fans  and it's turned into drama queen overreaction to a bit of handbags.

I am not condoning anything just saying beer, football, passion and testosterone will lead to some dickhead behaviour from factions of both sets of fans.

Why not just enjoy our magnificent victory, if you can't you could write an open letter .
