Melbourne Fuchs Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 Albrighton, Gray off the bench before 65 minutes.
foxile5 Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 Have to ensure we don't become complacent. Defoe is good for a goal.
Stevosevic Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 Must win to reach my aim which is top half. Lets pull away from the dross.
Fox 4 Life Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 Not just to aim for the top half, Hull are at home against Boro and we can't afford to let the gap between us slip to 3 points with the quarter finals coming up. Got 2 tough away games vs Everton and palace coming up too.
StriderHiryu Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 On current form it's hard not to think this has 3 points for us written all over it. Let's not get complacent, but if we play like we have in any of the past 4 games, this should be fairly routine. Going for another 2-0.
SheppyFox Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 The spirit is back, don't worry about it id play gray personally, rest morgan too.

Stevosevic Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 We have 4 consecutive away games in the league after this one. Must win

Drop Mahrez for the first hour then bring him on for either Gray as a direct swap, or Shinji and move gray inside. Mahrez has responded well to being dropped before, and 30 minutes against a tired sunderland could do wonders for his confidence going into the Atletico game
Thracian Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 Gray had his best all-round game for us today. Not perfect but, for the first time, he looked like an established first teamer rather than just a promising youngster. He's still got stacks to learn about decision-making and ruthlessness but I rated him 7.5/7.75 today and that's encouraging. But we still missed Albrighton particularly when Shinji went off and we virtually imploded as a football team.
Gerard Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 Must win. This is the easiest game of the season on paper so no complacency but all out to win. If we have 36pts by the end of Tuesday night then it gives us options to rest players for the Everton match so we can be fully prepared for the Madrid game. It's a pity Hull won today but a win against Sunderland puts us a win away from safety.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 Mustn't become complacent, but it's another game we need to be winning. It's a pivotal one because winning this will take us to 36pts.
Sleepy Fox Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 I wish the Everton game was on Saturday and not Sunday, since we have UCL the following Wednesday.
Thracian Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 Once again 100% focus on this game and all it demands. And the manager will be able to highlight plenty of room for improvement on today's performance for all that we won and overcame an always competitive opponent. At times some of our football was exhilarating today and Imaginative with it. We're showing more threat and our pace is back on the counter. But we need to find a way to sustain our style and impetus through 90 minutes. We've no need to become apologists or to start playing what I call "nowhere" football and it could so easily have cost us today. Relentlessly effective ruthlessness won us the title and that's what can win us other things if we continue to believe in our philosophy and what has made us so special at different times over these last three seasons and more. But just like a Grand Pix car, we need to keep refining and fine-tuning what we have and making ourselves even more formidable. There was a time today - just after our second goal - when we started cutting the Stoke defence to pieces. But we couldn't maintain the pressure or didn't dare believe we were that good. Over an hour's brilliance could have been wasted in a last 20 minutes of needless ineptitude - and that's what we need to improve. We need to cut out the nowhere football I mentioned earlier. Our strength is our positivity and self-belief. We can compromise in the bar afterwards.

Blue ROI Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 Hull and Palace winning was a bit of a downer but only because we have to be on our guard for Sunderland. Nonetheless I think we're safe now. Sunderland are as good as out of our reach and I would be very confident of taking care of business on Tuesday. Sunderland had their longest top flight stay of my time but this season has been like Leicesters in 2001-02.Wont be easy to climb back up either. Stick to recent weeks form and that should overwhelm Sunderland. Here's hoping!
Guest seanfox778 Posted 1 April 2017 Posted 1 April 2017 I hope we make amends for the poor showing at their place. I'd love us to hammer them but will happily settle for a scrappy 1-0.
