I wouldn't mind seeing Slimani and/or Musa start this game.

Why?

Why change a winning side?

Or be so complacent that we can select any old team and still win?

Make no mistake tonight is a huge, huge match for us. Win and that's us on 36pts and we can afford to rest players before Champions League matches to give ourselves the best opportunity of qualifying. Lose and we can't afford not to give every league match 100% of our attention.

Personally, I'd be looking to replace Moyes anyway. Where Allardyce succeeded last season with Sunderland, Moyes has hugely failed. It's been sad for him, however, that he's been missing the influential Cattermole for nearly the whole season.

Moyes is a spent force, I think. Sunderland need to go down, get in a fresh, motivated younger manager..and rebuild.

Oh Col, lol

Agree with @Thracian, almost entirely.

Got to congratulate @Col city fan though, managing to crowbar a positive Cattermole comment in. Not saying you're wrong, necessarily, but the self promotion your unconscious insists on is hilarious.

Noticed in the Stoke match ratings thread people talking about how we wilt when Okazaki is taken off and we drop off as we haven't got someone to press.

Why not have Kapustka on the bench and give him 20-30 minutes when Okazaki is taken off, he did decent in the cup when given a chance and showed some great touches and skill, as well as a good workrate to win the ball back. He is really the closest thing we have to Okazaki at the moment as Slimani isn't a number 10, Musa lacks confidence and neither Gray or Mahrez have been consistently effective in the number 10 role.

Political correctness gone mad, blah, blah... ruining my life by trying to be respectful to marginalised folks, blah, blah... can't even joke with a woman about assaulting them, on camera, without some killjoys getting involved. lol

Back on topic, we could really do with a win so we can rotate more comfortably against Everton. I'm strangely confident for this one, maybe because Sunderland are in such a mess, and we are playing like gods.

We look so focused at the mo, I'd give us a decent chance against anyone. Looking forward to some more sexy football from Benny and the Huth. :D

Slapgate is interesting, and whilst part of me thinks there is a massive over reaction going on here, part of me thinks what if Vicki Sparks was my daughter? If that were the case I think I'd be deeply upset with Moyes

That's a good point but if I tried to interfere on my (24 year old) daughter's behalf in such circumstances I'm sure she'd tell me where to go!!

I don't agree with that in the workplace!

Well played @Col city fan, top fishing. Rare to see you poke fun at yourself so I'll forgive myself falling for it...

Good man...

Excellent way to forgive yourself!
