is it only me who thinks it's slightly poor planning to have not trained yet at 1pm in the afternoon a day before an away game

Probably training then travelling down to their hotel here in Leicester, on the day of the quarter final draw, Shakey said they were training and then travelling straight to London.

Sunderland could have had late training as its a night game so eating and rest times would be different to a 3pm kick off, who knows?

I fear for Sunderland in this one. This has 6-0 / 6-1 to us written all over it :P

They're dire and we will beat them even if we play badly/in second gear.

Well I hope you're right.

We still need to improve our goal difference so if ever there was a game to do that significantly, it's this one...

Of course the 3 points is the most important thing, but if we play like we did on Saturday and create a similar amount of chances, hopefully we show no mercy in terms of successful conversions!

Defoe is the danger man, hope his dry run continues in the league.

Does anyone know the squad status ie unjuries, suspensions etc?

Clattermole should be making his return...is all you need to know.

Have a strangely bad feeling about this one, the odds are stacked too much in our favour and Sunderland will probably start their own great escape around now. 1-1 for me.

Yeah I don't understand the logic of some people Stoke for me was far easier on paper than Sunderland, when teams are in that no man's land of no Europe no relegation, the performances can go flat. Sunderland are fighting for there lives. I like the Watford H, Bournemouth H West Bromwich A are easier fixtures than this.

Are you not willing to factor in the fact that Sunderland are absolute garbage. You think West Brom away is an easier fixture?

West Bromwich now isn't an easier fixture, West Bromwich at the end of the month when we play them, when they have 5 games left including that an can't do anything with there season, when we are buzzing awaiting a champions league semi final, I do Sunderland are shit I agree, but it's the time of the year when they seem to find some crazy miracle, an I just don't know whether it's going to start V us or at home to man utd next weekend for them, hopefully it's not 2moro. I just don't think it's a fixture not to get to complacent over.

Noway should we try resting players for this or that,or to try and protect because of fear of injury..

We should play, our best players available, and that team with subs will be the ones...a certain Mr Shakespeare

decides to select....Because that will be simply our best team available. He gets paid to do it, I gain no experience

or enlightment by trying to outthink his selection descision. In football you play your best team,

figuring out permatations, and trying to be smarter than the logic itself  got us into our bottom half mess as it is.

One game at a time, the CL is of no consequence this week, therefore our selection should have only one relevance.

Same team, same formation, same result for me.

We may need a bit of luck, referee decision, penalty, deflection. I'd take a 1-0 own goal win to be honest then pack up the better players and marginally fit ones for the Madrid match including Ndidi, Mahrez, Kasper, Drinky erc. I'd be less concerned about resting Huth, Simpson, Vardy and Okazaki (mr. duracell) as they play better by playing more games. A horse for courses approach and Shakey will know what's best I think

I don't agree, if Stoke played us thinking they're already safe then they'd be idiots.

We can go above Stoke tomorrow and still not be safe. There are almost half a dozen teams who have been at least 10pts clear of the relegation zone at one time and now are too close for comfort. With the resurgence of teams like Leicester, Palace, Swansea and Hull in the last few months then anything is possible. If Swansea and Hull start picking up points then anyone from 9th downwards can be relegated and that includes Stoke.

36 points with 10 games to go of course they thought they were safe an they are. 2 wins from 9 games which they will get, an when they get a bit to close for comfort, they will turn it on again. I don't believe there is much difference between the other 14 clubs outside the "big 6" even the big 6 when they don't turn up, can get turned over, Stoke are now cruising, thats why the premiership is so exciting an why it's regrettable that we sacked a sports psychologist so early in the season as, I personally would place as much as 50% of results down to psychology, Arsenal V city both teams scared to lose end result draw. Only good thing about this game though is Sunderland are so far adrift they have to go for a win an that could play into our hands to pick them off like Sunderland A last year, I wouldn't be surprised to see 0-0 at HT

Well if they think they're safe more the fool them.

It's the easiest thing in the world to switch off and then not be able to turn it back on again when needed.  Remember we got 1pt from six games at the start of the year so if we can do that so can Stoke. Stoke may be 9th but safe they ain't.

Isn't Mendy still injured?

Yup. Mendy's ankle has taken the injury baton from James's knee and seems to be running wildly with it.

I suspect we'll see him again as we're joining the break away teams from the Premier League to create the Super League and the commentary is simultaneously being broadcasted in English, Chinese and Kangian and Kodosian and we're playing in sub-gravity and all that remains of Mendy is his living head in a jar which - for reasons the greatest scientists still cannot fathom - is still injured.

Are we not better off trying to win the game early with our best players then taking them off? We are not safe yet.

Yeah, fair point. I just feel that there will need to players carefully managed over this month as we having so many games coming. I wouldn't drop Vardy because I don't think Slim is in form. He needs a goal to get a bit of confidence back. When you look at Mahrez, he is massively important but his two cover players (gray and albrighton) are bang in form. I think we could rest him, but still have the intensity to win the game.

I think this may be a tougher game than people are expecting. This is the time of the season when clubs suddenly realise that they have to fight for their lives.

1-1 draw for me

1-1 draw for me

I'd take a scrappy win, just need 3 points
