I no I can google myself but this is the most confusing post I've ever read. They're wiped but they do affect the first tie??? you what?

Yellow cards are wiped for the semi finals i.e. all players have their bookings reduced to zero as soon as the next round starts.

However if a player picks up a suspension now they will be unable to play in the first leg of the SF.

I think he means that once the semi final arrives, all yellows are wiped. Hence no player can pick up three yellows and miss the final. However, the totting is process is still running at the moment so three cards after the 1/4'final will mean the first leg of the semi is missed

for us, it means that a yellow for ndidi or vardy would mean them missing the semi first leg should we get through.

Simeone says the team that play the 2nd leg away from home have the advantage because of the away goal rule in extra time. That seems such a negative way to look at things an makes me think their thoughts are 0-0 or a 1-1 draw. Even mentioning extra time is giving us respect.

I thought we played some good football in spells against them in the first leg...and as an attacking force they were nothing special...get them on the back foot and the scars of losing two finals might show

Well if we are going to win the CL 3-1 vs Real Madrid then I'm pretty sure we will do enough tomorrow before defeating Monaco in the semi's.

bit of positivity please. Negative nancies.

Need a repeat of the seville game if we can. They are a very good and well drilled team but they are beatable, especially in an English environment and with our atmosphere.

Fear for us without a defence. Morgan is dodgy anyway without Huth next to him even when fully fit, never seems confident without him. A month off, not match fit with a dodgy back against a tricky Griezman doesn't bode well. Benalouane who's done brilliantly could have done with a rest against Palace with a try out once and for all at CB for Armarty,  (if he can't play there, he's bloody hopeless at RB and hardly fluent and good enough in midfield ). Didn't we try Fuchs at CB previously and he flopped?

Gonna be a long night I fear,  but this is Leicester we're talking about so who knows!

Have no fear lads. We'll get through. We simply have more balls:

We need a good ref tomorrow.

Simeone will have his players go down at every opportunity, and we can't afford to be conned AGAIN!

Let the football do the talking.

The officials in both the Sevilla games were decent to be honest

The one thing I hope this tie is not decided on is a bad refereeing decision.

Its essential that tomorrow the referee puts in a good performance.

Sevilla I had a great feeling we would win that game and go through! I really don't feel like that this time! I think it may have something to do with the last time we had played them in Europe but I really can't see us going through!

Is that what the carot cards say?

Can't believe how much pessimism is on this thread.

FFS we are in the last 8 of the Champions League, let's just decking enjoy it.

As for team selection, although he is getting flack from some in here, Mahrez is our best, and most creative player, there is no way he is dropped for a game like this.

Fuchs makes most sense at CB if Wes is not fit, go with experience rather than experiments in a game this big.

Ndidi to sit deep again and Okazaki to play behind Vardy.

Albrightons work rate means he has to play.

Kasper

Simpson

Benny

Fuchs (Wes if fit)

Chilwell (Fuchs if Wes is fit)

Mahrez

Drinkwater

Ndidi

Albrighton

Okazaki

Vardy

We don't need to go all out, keep it tight for 60, then throw the kitchen sink at them last half an hour.

Gray for Okazaki and let Mahrez/Gray/Albrighton interchange and run at them.

Whatever the outcome, enjoy the occasion! We are the last 8 of the Champions League!

As much as I agree with you and I am a huge fan of Mahrez, I'd have to say this is the game where he has to shine. He needs to play like this is potentially his last game ever in the CL. These are the times when great players outdo themselves. Which Mahrez will show up?

Just finished listening to Sportsweek on 5live. 90% of the show was football related but not one word on our Champions League Quarter final. If it was Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool et el, especially if they were the only English representatives, half the programme would have been dedicated to it. They even found time to talk for a few minutes about Leyton Orient but not so much a word about us.

Feck em. Dismissing us........just like last year.

Not surprised a bit about their resentment. Leicester, last season and the later part of this season, has shown how worthless their analyses and their predictions have been.

Been handed an Italian referee called Gianluca Rocchi for this game.

I hope I am wrong but this might not be good news.

I think we need to hit em hard and fast early... tempted to think we should start with Mahrez and Gray... scare the crap out of them with pure footballing talent, throw everything at them in the first 15

Italian ref worked well for us against Sevilla! All I ask is that he doesn't completely fvck us over.

Our centre back pairing of benny and Wes is likely to break the rules of left and right footer.  I expect benny will have to play on the left side (as Hernandez did opening day). I also expect simeone will target that area between Fuchs and benny as it will not be natural for benny to cover his left inside the full back.

This probably explains why Fuchs was put there on Saturday and perhaps we might be surprised later. That would be harsh on benny  and would be a very tough call.
