Liverpool should never have done it this way, but Van Dijk publicly saying he prefers Liverpool forced Southampton's hand. Really stupid. 1

SCP1906 Posted 7 June 2017 Posted 7 June 2017 Astonishing that Liverpool have had to pull out of the van dijk transfer rather than risk being done for an illegal approach That's Liverpool assuming it would be guilty of illegal approach.Klopp/Liverpool was really stupid to approach the player before talk with the Club.

Fox92 Posted 7 June 2017 Posted 7 June 2017 Southampton think they're bigger than what they are. Top half finish in the top flight and a cup final is a great season for a club like them. 1

SCP1906 Posted 7 June 2017 Posted 7 June 2017 Apparently Southampton want up to 75m for VVD Southampton think they're bigger than what they are.I think Southampton is trying to teach a lesson to VVD and all their players that try to make pressure for a transfer. José Fonte last year also wanted a transfer/leave Southampton and they didn't want to sell him.Fonte really made pressure to leave, and he went to West Ham. I guess West Ham paid Fonte a lot of money.

Even I'd be delighted if we did that next season.
jammie82uk Posted 7 June 2017 Posted 7 June 2017 Just seen viewing figures for Sky and BT for the season that's just ended we was on average the 12th most watched team on Sky and 5th most watched on average on BT We averaged 790,000 viewers on Sky and 692,000 on BT Man Utd averaged the highest on Sky with 1.2 million and Liverpool averaged the highest on BT with 867,000 Watford averaged the lowest on Sky with 606,000 with Burnley averaging the lowest on BT with 360,000 Comparing on a whole, last season compared to the 15/16 season Sky's premier league football viewing figures was down 12.4% and BT's was up 5.5% 2

Such as certain bias from some towards certain clubs etc, such as Spurs and Liverpool. BT - I'm growing to prefer; it seems more 'neutralised', where talk and analysis in-depth from their own pundits etc covers many clubs and keeps it interesting (for example, more spread out, and devotes equal time on discussing both the top and bottom teams). Their commentary, in general, isn't too bad either. Edited 7 June 2017 by Wymeswold fox 2
foxes21 Posted 7 June 2017 Posted 7 June 2017 Liverpool will collapse in the league next season. Increase in fixtures Average squad Unsustainable style of play Klopp will take Europe very seriously
Dan Posted 7 June 2017 Posted 7 June 2017 I do feel sorry for Southampton. They're such a well run club yet they always get stripped just before it starts to really take shape. 8th and a cup final is a good season for Southampton but there's clearly more to this Puel thing than what meets the eye. I'm not going to judge them for it. I know first hand how irritating it is.
Brainy Posted 7 June 2017 Posted 7 June 2017 I don't want to sound too serious (I absolutely hate analysis and how they get to come across as really clever and intelligent getting other people to look for stuff to show hours after it happened) but a lot of their bias shows when they do a comparison between the top 6 with Thierry Henry/Neville/Carragher present, then on the rare day they talk about the bottom of the league they get in Clinton Morrison or Iain Dowie or some shower of shite. They generally do come across as knowing very little about the rest of the sides in the league, perhaps it would help if they didn't always schedule Neville for the Man Utd games or any of their giant roster of ex Liverpool players for their games.
