They're getting such insane revenue now from all these new TV deals that a player holding a club to ransom is going to get rarer and rarer. Hughes tried to get Stoke playing good football but has just resorted to long ball tactics etc. He's bought Walters, crouch etc back in while getting rid of Bojan and affelly. Personally hope he opts to sign for us, although I can see the attraction to Newcastle being greater. Be interesting to see how he does in the Premier League.
