So Roma proposed 30 m and will be try to near the 50 m, I don't know if Roma will make two or three steps bis    30 , 35 and then 40  or goes from 30 to 40 plus adds

And will AW show up when Roma reaches 35 m and come with an offer to have mahrez or be silent

Logic or me would be get the right amount IF WE have to sell Riyad which is £45m+ first then use the money to buy a replacement or buy a couple who make the starting eleven stronger.

 

Gray is secondary to me if he wants to go and someone is prepared to pay £20m then he can go too for me as he is potential and no more plus IF HE believes he would start regularly more games at Spurs, Liverpool or Everton then he's bloody stupid.

 

He will get more game time with us although imo he is not ready to replace Riyad - still to prove an awful lot to be even close to first choice.

It's pretty simple really:

 

At best, Mahrez comes back to the team and looks like the PFA player of the year. He gives us half a season before his head is turned by a larger club willing to pay his transfer fee. Then we have to scramble in the January window to find a replacement (if you do not believe Gray is up to it). 

 

At worst, Mahrez comes back and reduces his transfer value by playing poorly, getting injured, or making public statements about his desire to leave. We could even lose Gray to a transfer before he gets a chance to prove himself and increase his transfer value.

The issue is you cannot pop out and buy another Mahrez they don't come round very often at any price.

Id like to think we will not sell and we can get him at it again.Wouldnt want to play against him can make you look very silly.

These Mahrez reports are a joke how much do city actually want go him it's gone from £50m to £35-40 now sky are reporting we want £27m for him, can't see him going for £27m as that would def feel like a mugging !!

The only upside is tho I'd rather him go to Roma but for a decent fee than go to Arsenhole !!

Realistically though I think you're right, we're not going to get 50 for him but 40 is fair possibly. Likewise, Swansea won't get 50 for Sig. I think he'll go to Everton for just over 40 plus add ons. Personally I'd be very happy with Ieanacho if the deal is reasonable with the unloading of Musa, Ulloah and Mendy. Being greedy, would still like Gibson and cover for Simpson who for me is still our first choice. I also think he's capable of doing a job on Marhez if he comes back to haunt us in the first game of the season. Hope he clears off abroad though.

Literally cant fathom this. If we want to reach that level then we have to act like those clubs. Not get short changed because the players sulking.

 

Get the right price or he stays, let him play with the reserves if that's what it takes.  We should be getting what he's worth in this market or not take it at all. If not we set a precedent as being a poached club like Southampton.

 

Agents will tell all of their players to act the same because little old Leicester will let you go for cheap if you're going to disrupt things....

Roma or any club can talk to his agent as much as they like, it's the club that have the final say.  I don't know how they could've typed the part about 27m will a straight face.

 

I guessing the club has told Mahrez that he can go as long as they get x money for him. Anything less than 40m with goal/performance add ons then we have been had.  It doesn't matter the team, the big and better the team the more they can pay if they want him.

But I think that the POTY trophy for mahrez in 2015/16 came too early , because that brought him from a 500 k player from LeHavre to EPL, and high priced so  early and might ruine  his  career,

But 25-30 m price tag would have helped him attract many EPL top 6 and making his  transition very natural ,  from the bench to a starter to a winner ( that pusses managers to change their formation to integrate him as a pillar is such new formation if they need to , we  cane  take as examples , mahrez would be a barca player making his way from bencher to a winner, and letting valverde change his settled msn to MMSN , and also in case of arsenal the 25-40 m fee can ease and fit into 343 formation as a squad player  to to a new formation 4231 when by the time mahrez settles  as a winner player in arsenal under AW

 

But the 50 m price tag the buying club is obliged to garantee mahrez a place   The starting 11 m be it in Liverpool arsenal barca Chelsea

 

but all these clubs managers know that in order to get mahrez at  such price have  to puss their star players , like sanchez  Sadio mane or leroy sane to bench or change to new  formation   

 

So  this is  a real dilemma because managers are  slow  in chsnging formations and mahrez is caught in such dilemma   ,but may be  Roma can be his team and his natural chance for a successful career if they can level thier second bid Leicester price  tag or come  close  to it , 40-45 m  because mahrez is surely a winner
