maddog Posted 13 July 2017 Posted 13 July 2017 The more this drags on the more I just want him sold, he wants to leave. I'd be happy enough with 38-45 million now.

His statement clearly states that he is seeking to progress as a footballer. Roma is not progress. Also, I don't think his intentions were to force a low price, it was probably more of an attempt to generate hype than anything. He know damn well that he's under contract with no release clause, so if management does not receive an offer they feel fair, they have no obligation to sell. You're making it seem like he hates the club, but it's more like he's trying to improve as a footballer. I don't think anyone can be mad at that. If you feel you have the potential to play at a more established club, why not give it a go? Would you stay at a job where you are not progressing as fast as you potentially could?

Can't believe that, Walker's not bad going forward but really not a great defender. 50m for a right back? If Cafu was young fit and available maybe but Walker is no Cafu haha what a joke, would sooner have Simpson by far!

Yes in theory, but to the outside world he's a one season wonder with an attitude that says if I don't want to be here I won't do my best, in fact I won't even get fully fit! If it was your money, would you risk 50m on him? I certainly wouldn't!
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 14 July 2017 Posted 14 July 2017 FFS, it's SKY !! Sky Bet plays with people's emotions to coin a mint, and their Transfer Centre is laughable. SSSHH, their "whispers have Bartosz "maybe" headed out to Germany, anyone care to place a bet ?? Well useless site with past their sell by players acting as pundits in the know, sorry but that ain't news.

Actually if Sky and Skybet have the same ownership (presumably), there's a massive conflict of interest there, as Sky can manipulate the news to benefit whatever positions Skybet needs to cover. Surprised that's legal.

Surely the other way around? 7:46 AM - 13 Jul 2017 that's strange , though But I think that the POTY trophy for mahrez in 2015/16 came too early , because that brought him from a 500 k player from LeHavre to EPL, and high priced so early and might ruine his career, But 25-30 m price tag would have helped him attract many EPL top 6 and making his transition very natural , from the bench to a starter to a winner ( that pusses managers to change their formation to integrate him as a pillar is such new formation if they need to , we cane take as examples , mahrez would be a barca player making his way from bencher to a winner, and letting valverde change his settled msn to MMSN , and also in case of arsenal the 25-40 m fee can ease and fit into 343 formation as a squad player to to a new formation 4231 when by the time mahrez settles as a winner player in arsenal under AW But the 50 m price tag the buying club is obliged to garantee mahrez a place The starting 11 m be it in Liverpool arsenal barca Chelsea but all these clubs managers know that in order to get mahrez at such price have to puss their star players , like sanchez Sadio mane or leroy sane to bench or change to new formation So this is a real dilemma because managers are slow in chsnging formations and mahrez is caught in such dilemma ,but may be Roma can be his team and his natural chance for a successful career if they can level thier second bid Leicester price tag or come close to it , 40-45 m because mahrez is surely a winner If he leaves here I couldn't give a sh1t what position or formation he plays in or how well he settles in ... or how good or bad that is for his career .... history mate .... history.

FrankieADZ Posted 14 July 2017 Posted 14 July 2017 Roma willing to go a bit higher according the this site https://www.calciomercato.it/news/269991/calciomercato_roma_pronti_40_milioni_per_mahrez

The Guvnor Posted 14 July 2017 Posted 14 July 2017 Mahrez is a quality player, PFA player of the year, 7th Ballon d'Or. If he had have maintained his title winning form last season i'm sure there would be teams biting our hands off for him @ £50million. So Riyad if you want your dream move to Barcelona pull your fcuking finger out and prove to the best teams in the world you are the real deal.

Let's be fair he didn't do a great deal yesterday and a lot of that was down to him not being interested, so if he wants his move he's got to work a lot harder than he has and unfortunately that might mean him being here 1 more season. Also the clubs linked don't really make me think he's moving for better opportunities.
FrankieADZ Posted 14 July 2017 Posted 14 July 2017 personally i wouldnt mind him going Roma for £35mil just as long as we had a 25%sell on clause in the deal
RonnieTodger Posted 14 July 2017 Posted 14 July 2017 Hilarious if we did sell Mahrez for less than we paid for Slimani

AlloverthefloorYesNdidi Posted 14 July 2017 Posted 14 July 2017 Express suggesting a deal with Leicester asking for 48 mil from Roma Meh, would take that. Wouldnt be the most glamorous move for ol' RM
Jattdogg Posted 14 July 2017 Posted 14 July 2017 48€? If 48£ id sell him no questions asked because we all know he doesnt want to be here (why riyad why!!!!)
woznotwos Posted 14 July 2017 Posted 14 July 2017 Cant understand why he is so desperate to leave us . Particularly with no great clubs coming in for him. Feel gutted about the whole situation.
