Are we really discussing how good Mahrez is?

ffs, he was Prem Player of the year two seasons ago!

Majority agree he's the best player to have donned the blue shirt in the last 40 years if not ever.....who was the last player to score and create chances to league us to the top division title?.

He is irreplaceable on a one for one basis and we will need to improve the team in a few positions to make us as effective.

Exactly. Let's put it like this; he would definitely make it into the best all time Leicester City 11!

Always amazes me how fickle some football fans can be  he's a leicester city god and will go down as one of the greatest players to don our blue shirt.

Albeit i don't think i'll ever see a player of Mahrez (or Kantes) quality in a city shirt again :(

Are you a hater of those that oppose fanboys with a bias agenda?

lol , reading to much in it i see! People are free to have an opinion or take sides (that being of a fanboy point of view or a "hater's" with an agenda)

I asked him if he can give me some reasons to why he thinks that way towards riyad instead of me disrespecting him (and he point of view) like many here do. and look, it went good. That's a thing a lot in here can learn.

Nowhere near as good as he thinks he is?

Best player I've ever seen in a city shirt in my 40 years.

One season and you are basing his ability on one season ? If it had not been for the other players last season your hero would have been guilty as anyone else in taking us down . No where near as good as he thinks he is and so do the other clubs.

But that's the point. If he had the likes of Kante surrounding him instead of Drinkwater, he'd be able to show his full potential (as we've seen in 15/16)

If he can only play when he had Kante in the team then he's not real quality is he ? Top quality players shine even if a team is not doing well. Even when he had the ball this season he could not do what he did with it last season.

What sets him apart from real quality players is his attitude. Like a sulky child for most of the season and blaming the rest of the team for his own shortcomings. He like the rest of the team got sussed and he above all was easy for other teams to snuff out , put two or three on him and he hadn't a clue what to do.

Like most geniuses in anything he has his flaws. Some of the things he can do with a football are a different level to anyone I have seen playing for us in my lifetime. He will be sorely missed if he goes.

Imagine we pulled off signing some of the players we have been linked with or of similar quality. Sigurdsson, Kelechi, Silva, Delph. There's no way sides could try and double up on Mahrez. In a seriously good side if his head is right he would tear sides to shreds. Give him space and he will destroy. I just hope we make some big signings and he stays. And if he goes just hope that it's out of the prem. Bad enough seeing Kante playing for Chelsea but it's impossible to dislike him. Like the one that got away.....

The Mahrez of 2015/16 definitely, almost unplayable in some games and scored wonderful goals and important goals! Worked hard, created, assists of all types. Made moments that mind the hair stand up on your neck!

The Mahrez of this season, no, clearly in his mind had moved on and had more bad games then good.

For me it just took some of the shine of his time at city, but he will alway be a legend.

Seen a lot of people writing Mahrez into their dream team line ups on other targets threads.

He won't stay lads. After his statement which he's made, he won't stay. He'll be gone before the end of the window, by hook or by crook. Someone will buy him.

Think we need to get used to this, and move on without him.

even if no one wants him at our price, unless he make a further grand "apology/I'm staying after all statement", he'll be too embarrassed to stick around.

Why does everyone say he's the best player they've seen in a city shirt? Kante is one of the best players in the world, probably the best in the world at what he does. I can name 10 better than mahrez at his job easily. Not saying he isn't incredible but he's not the best player we've ever seen.

I saw a collection of Le Tissier goals on sky the other day. He managed to score consistently and with quality Ina very poor team at times. Mahrez failed to do so last season. Amazing player but based on last season what would we be missing?

nothing, he was totally anonymous last season imo. thats why i dont care if hes off, if he'd have had another season like his pfa one i'd be a bit more annoyed but his lack of effort and commitment last season was frustrating and annoying to watch.

That isn't what I said at all. People are saying best player in a Leicester shirt and kante is without a doubt a better player. Was saying I can't name anyone better than kante at his job in the world, and I can name 10 better than mahrez easily, therefore he isn't the best player in a Leicester shirt.

Name these phantoms. It's easy to say easy. Look how easily I said it - typed it - whatever.

Put up or shaddap a yer face. I want all 10 right here, right now for the purposes of debate. Easy.
