irishfoxkev Posted 11 May 2017 Posted 11 May 2017 Breaking news on Sky Sports News Danny Drinkwater will miss rest of season due to thigh injury......
AKCJ Posted 11 May 2017 Posted 11 May 2017 That's a shame but it gives us a chance to change things up a bit. Â Would like to bring Amartey and Gray in for Drinkwater and Okazaki and go with something like this; Â Kasper Simpson Wes Huth Fuchs Amartey Ndidi Gray Mahrez Albrighton Vardy

TiffToff88 Posted 11 May 2017 Posted 11 May 2017 ah. i thought Barnes would be eligible as he's under 21.  I'm guessing this has been discussed to death elsewhere in the forum though.  Shame for Drinky though  EDIT - Barnes still technically on loan until the end of the month
Blue ROI Posted 11 May 2017 Posted 11 May 2017 Unfortunate to be injured but he needed a break from it after all the games he's played.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 11 May 2017 Posted 11 May 2017 Kin ell glad we are safe, Amartey, Mendy or Kingy playing there fills me with dread! Â Would have liked to see James come in for these games, a big shame he's not available.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 11 May 2017 Posted 11 May 2017 Gets the ball Scores a goal Andy Andy King Â
Tuna Posted 11 May 2017 Posted 11 May 2017 Anyone else shit themselves upon seeing the thread title before realizing it's ok as we're safe!
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 May 2017 Posted 11 May 2017 Now it's time for all those saying Drinkwater has been shite recently to REALLY see how we get on with him not in the side. Â
Babylon Posted 11 May 2017 Posted 11 May 2017 Can we please try something different, even if it's giving Amartey another run of games or trying a different formation. We know what we're going to get from Andy King, we won't learn anything!  Kasper Wes    Huth   Benny Albrighton                                    Fuchs Amartey        N'didi Mahrez Vardy      Slimani Â

ealingfox Posted 11 May 2017 Posted 11 May 2017 It was obvious James wouldn't be allowed but why not Barnesy?  Huth and Morgan out as well  Could be a bloodbath Saturday.

One fit centre back... think we can scrap my three at the back plan then.  Simpson Benny Fuchs Chillwell              N'didi  Amartey  Mahrez        Okazaki       Albrighton                     Vardy  A few holes in there that they will pick apart.
Jobyfox Posted 11 May 2017 Posted 11 May 2017 I’m not sure whether this is the same injury, but Drinkwater has been carrying an injury for a while. I’ve got a little bit fed up with the criticism that he’s been getting as it’s obvious that he’s only been playing at around 70-80%.  It kind of highlights where we are as a squad that a 70% Drinkwater is better than a 100% Amartey or King, but in my opinion he currently is. We definitely need to build the squad in the summer as we’re still almost completely reliant on the 2015/16 team to be competitive. We need to be able to have the ability to rotate and rest players.  Given all that I’m totally unsurprised that Drinkwater is now out for the season the week after we know we’re safe. Irrespective of any new injury this is the right call in terms of readiness for next season.

I asked this same question, but from what i can work out, He's still technically on loan at MK Dons

If Fuchs or Mahrez were carrying an injury they'd be out of the team asap cos they have capable lads who can replace them. Drinkwater got Amartey and King who between then dont even make 1 decent midfielder.Â

spacemunky Posted 11 May 2017 Posted 11 May 2017 Drinky will be back stronger, faster and better than ever!Â
