Drinky out for rest of season

Recommended Posts

I had a bet on us beating man city an now, I see we have lost 3 of our regular starting 11 now an 2 CB, I'm like Saturday is a write off, but I don't share the same negativity regarding the rest of the season, as we have spurs who will be demoralised an Bournemouth who have little to play for, even if those 3 were missing for all 3 games, I see no reason why we can't pick up 6 points or at least 4 points at home, out of those 2 matches, if nothing on Saturday.

Agreed Drinkwater always looks like a sulking school kid , Ulloa has always got a silly grin and Shinji has got a fringe ... I am the only one that gets irritated by Ulloa grinning all the time.

At least we might get to see where Shakey thinks Amartey is best deployed. If he doesn't start it looks bad for Daniel.

I remember, earlier in the season, when he had a fair few decent games in midfield, at a time when the team was playing pretty poorly. Going to AFCON, and Wilfred starting so well ruined his momentum.

Drinkwater has been horrendous all season, frustrating as hell to watch his poor discussions and negative play. He'll only be missed by his fanboys. Time to step it up Amartey or Kingy.

1. Your definition of horrendous is very different to mine. He had a good start to the season then inconsistent since his injury at Porto away.

2. Fanboys? that's an embarrassing turn of phrase! If your under 14 you'd just get a pass but any older you need a long look in the mirror.

Keyboard worrier at its best. Bizarre comments as well. Why has he been horrendous? Granted, not the Drinky of last season, but not horrendous. Some people I think we're spoilt a little by last season.

Not the highs of last season but let's not forget he's had to contend with a different formation under Claudio which perhaps did not suit his style. Also, he's not had the back up of one of the worlds best midfielders in N'golo Kante playing both sides of him.

A well earned rest.

Here's to you...

Skippy, still has a small point.DD seemed to be shown alot of patience, where othets, were being slaughtered on this forum,

or seemed to get more flak.

Has PL team, I refuse to accept, we couldnt do without him, our coaching staff, should be compitent, and confident, to

have found, another tactic of plan A-z, that, other players felt confident with. This year we were pss poor, because we were

Scared, and that reverberated through the squad...Persistence with DD has been poor decidion making, plus poor

Man and team management. Sorry but with the players at our disposal, the coaching staff failed to solve the single player

Midfield "Crisis "  that should never of been.

We created, the so called mitigating circumstances.Other clubs trusted their squads, when injUries amassed,

WE DIDNT we lack Tactical nous....still..!!!

How many streams have you watched this season? Selective memory is a truly gorgeous thing...

Mahrez has been slaughtered on here. Even on RL they have been critical of Mahrez whereas DD has got away with it. Granted, Mahrez is a vastly superior player to Drinkwater but people are showing much more patience to Drinkwater than they would any other player.

And I agree with you, we could have done without Drinkwater. We created this " midfield crisis". Other clubs as you said trust their squad players but we seemingly don't.

Really bad news, with Drinky out other players need to step up and show what they can do or Shakes should give the young players like Barnes a go. if Drinky out it just shows how bare we have come in midfield and it is something that needs sorting in the summer!

It'll been King in for Danny all day long…. No new fancy systems or anything else

Personally is like to see Amartrey come in, but, it won't happen

I'd agree with you on both counts, Wolf. It's a shame that Shaky is unlikely to be more adventurous - I'd love to see Barnes in for Drinky, or failing that, Amartey.

Barnes in would be great opportunity for him and one is like to see, however, it appears he's not eligible…

Drinky hasnt been great this season but not awful, i do believe that he reached the ceiling of his ability last season! He definitely puts in a shift and runs around a lot but for a midfielder to be scuffing nearly every effort off target and playing so negatively when ever he gets the ball hes far from a top class midfielder. Hes just a good fit ethic wise thats all. And he cant win the ball back without fouling. A good but frustrating player!₩

Yes pal I sit in a sweaty hammock in my corked hat, flip-flops, swigging down tins of VB whilst squinting at an old grey computer watching intermittent web casts of the odd game. You utter clown. Have you heard of pay TV? I bet I’ve watched more games than you over the last 5 years unless you go to all the away games then we’d be about even.

So I get the impression you think someone on the other side of the planet who watches the same games as you doesn’t have/shouldn’t have an opinion? People like you make this forum toxic with your obnoxious comments. I’ve been visiting this forum for over 10 years, I don’t comment often because I know idiots like you will try to tell me to bugger off because of where I reside. I’m a Leicester lad not some alien, pull your head in son.

No word that DD is having an op

shakey said this strain was weeks rather than months

i wonder if we are going to see him in the end of season England squad after he has had a few weeks off??

any op can then be done after that
