Wow only 4 years, thought it was 5 but yeah, I see 2013. A lot has happened in such a short time, amazing.
urban.spaceman Posted 12 May 2017 Share Posted 12 May 2017 Possibly the worst, most devestating and gut-wrenching 30 seconds in our history. I'd wanted Pearson sacked before that. But a few days later (after calming down) I started to believe that if he stayed that would galvanise the players and club and we might be able to get to Wembley next season. And then the next 4 mindblowing years happened. Wow!

tom27111 Posted 12 May 2017 Share Posted 12 May 2017 Never watched it since it happened live, never will. Despite everything that's happened since, it still hurts too much I've even been known to run out of rooms to avoid it, whenever the Soccer Saturday Sky description of it comes on. Fox92 Posted 12 May 2017 Share Posted 12 May 2017 Can remember just staring and not saying anything for about 15 mins after their goal.
Fox42 Posted 12 May 2017 Share Posted 12 May 2017 It's funny because my reaction to that Deeney goal was almost the exact same as when Huth scored the third against Man City last year. I just stared at the screen with my mouth open uttering something on the lines of "what have I just witnessed..."

HybridFox Posted 12 May 2017 Share Posted 12 May 2017 For some reason, I was never as gutted for this one as the night we lost in Cardiff. THAT penalty from Kermogant is the one that wrangled with me. How could he do that in a shootout?!
Koke Posted 12 May 2017 Share Posted 12 May 2017 Knockaert dived for the pen to begin with.
Royston. Posted 12 May 2017 Share Posted 12 May 2017 if knockaert scored that penalty............... one can only imagine but its unlikely we'd be where we are today. premier league champions (still)

I think it's because we bombed and didn't deserve to be in the playoffs and it was a ridiculously soft pen. That Cardiff one was a sickener. iamafox Posted 12 May 2017 Share Posted 12 May 2017 And then we took the Championship by storm the following season. The rest is history...
leicesterlad1989 Posted 12 May 2017 Share Posted 12 May 2017 Never watched it since and never will. I even closed my eyes on the treadmill at the gym to avoid watching it, which nearly ended in disaster. In hindsight though, it made us an even stronger unit and possibly was the start of something special.
