broughtonblue Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 He scores a pen in a play off semi final for the first time!! Quite liked him at our place and could easily have been a hero instead of a villain if it had gone in Also Liam Moore might get another crack at the prem

Wymsey Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 Liam Moore - a potential Premier League centre-back? Yann Kermorgant - a potential Premier League forward? If they do go up and somehow survive, that would be pretty amazing.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 Kermo was decent Edit: just found this gem... Ok, I'm not saying he's brilliant, but is he really a worse option off the bench than Vardy?? He's scored twice against us this season... just saying.
StanSP Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 how is there a thread about this and how the fvck are people still sore about his miss?! look at where we've come since then ffs.
Fox92 Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 It's gone, it's over. Look where we are now and people are still calling him. If he returned I wouldn't even boo him. Not that small time.
Koke Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 People often forget that it was Waghorn who missed the deciding penalty that night.
Kinowe Soorie Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 I thought Michael Keane was decent... until Kermorgant destroyed him in the air! Was he (YK) playing for Charlton, when it happened?
katieakita Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 Was not our time and not have maybe got us into a play off final, which Blackpool would have won it was their time. Things could have been very different and the hurt and pain has been replaced by things we could never have dreamed of. Yes a really poor penalty but think it is time we moved on.

Cos he's a former player that played a part in our recent history. I'm not sore about it, just saying if it had gone in he would have been feted as a hero for having the balls to try it. Take a chill pill xx
Tuna Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 He's announced he'll retire at the end of next season. He's done really well since he left here. Averaged a goal every 3 games.
Stadt Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 Proved to be a very *ahem* decent championship player in the end, considering he was playing for Avignon he was actually a great spot for the price but it just didn't work out here for obvious reasons. Fantastic in the air for a striker that's only just over 6ft.

The difference was Waghorn took an honest penalty and missed, happened to every player once in a while. Yann was a **** at a huge moment for our club stepped up and made it all about himself. Yes we've gone on to bigger and better things since he left, but for me he will always be in a basket with Dennis Wise, Mike Reed, Peter Taylor as the biggest Cnuts of our recent history.
katieakita Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009–10_Leicester_City_F.C._season#2009.E2.80.9310_squad Think people need to take a little look at our squad that somehow got us into the play offs and appreciate what a Job Pearson and Shakey did. You would have needed 20 new players to even think of making a fist of it in the prem. He really did us a favour
Lionator Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 The thing is now, his act was just another contributory factor to us becoming Champions of England. If he hadn't of done that, history would've been different.
Stadt Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 If we'd have gone up that year as I'd have fancied us against Blackpool we'd surely have been absolutely walloped (old bob ©) in the prem and wouldn't have gone on to complete the same series of events that led us to a league title

It wasn't the winning penalty? I just don't understand why people go on about it. he's not exactly amounted to anything since the miss, has he? Whereas we, as a club, have moved on significantly and gone on to better things.

Kermorgant put his ego before the club and therefore he's a complete dickhead for me. If they go up he'll be booed. That's not to say i'm still bitter. We'd never have done what we did if we'd gone up that year. But like I say, he's still a complete and utter twat for what he did.

The 09/10 squad was filled with journeymen, average lower league players and a few loanees. We'd have been destroyed in the Prem had we gone up that year. The 12/13 squad was talented and ready for PL football but got delayed by a year.

Dr The Singh Posted 16 May 2017 Posted 16 May 2017 If he returns next season against at us, I will applaud him. If he had scored that peno, we may never won the league years later
