Watching him unselfishly break the length of the pitch at pace and nod balls on with his head and generally create in the final third... Him and Vardy could be absolutely lethal... We could do some real damage next season. One attribute of this guy that is very unheralded is that he's very cerebral. That's why he's a great fox in the box And like you mentioned - he always checks to pick out a better placed player. If there is a player he reminds me of its Totti. People mention his goals, but he also has 8 assist to go with his 21 goals. All with 2100 minutes of football. At the U17 World Cup he had 6 goals and 7 assists, while for the national team he has 6 goals and 2 assists in 623 minutes of game time. That's exactly why he is suited as an AM or a second striker. Will finish them off when he can, but else he will provide when needed. Apart from that the stats just show how consistently he's been scoring - be it at U17 level, for his national team or for ManC.

AjcW Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Most Euro clubs who use the buy back do it to then sell on again straight away at the actual market value. No real interest in having them back in the squad. Im not to worries about it, it think he’ll be really good for sure, but never good enough to force out any of Man City’s options (based on their system not his talent) id imagine there’s probably an option for us to pay a bit more in two or theee years to cancel the buy back

No basis, just exciting times and so looking forward to the coming season That Sunderland game... one of my favourites at Filbert Street. Oh oh what could have been!

We could offer him the £5m as we'd be making more money out of PSG than the buy back clause

leicesterlad1989 Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Inheanacho would surely only go back to Man City on the guarantee of first team football. Part of the reason he is leaving is due to a lack of it. He will need to have a fantastic season or couple of seasons to geta first team place their. We will definitely reap the benefits of his good performances, however long he would be with us. Ultimately though, Man City are in the elite when it comes to spending power. They could pretty much afford most players in the world, so I highly doubt they would buy him back and I'd doubt he would want to return anyway.

But when it comes to transfers, the three main beneficiaries are agents, players and clubs. In that order. 2 transfers are better than 1 for player and agent.

Guest TheBear Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 just seen the owners helicopter landing at the training ground.... could be him coming in for a medical!
Ric Flair Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Buyback clauses are just a bigger sell on clause these days. I can see there being pressure to change this if it keeps happening and doing smaller clubs out of money.

Yeah even if we only get two good seasons out of him it'll be worth it.
Rusko187 Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Not to sound like I'm wearing blue tinted specs but the lad is being advised very well, he could go to most clubs, sit on the bench and take the money but he desires first team football and let's be honest you could do a lot worse than us! Feeling really encouraged by our recruitment so far, I know this isn't finished but a couple more in the right places and I would be extremely happy. These are the sort of signings we should have made last season... at least it seems as though that opportunity to build upon that success hasn't gone begging.

X Could accept Heskey leaving and MON but Stan the man and his treatment by Peter Taylor still is hard to understand. You take a player undoubtedly highly talented but in need of plenty of TLC and managing his confidence then tell him he is not as good as Trevor Benjamin or James Scowcroft and wonder why his confidence is shot to pieces. Even worse he had to watch them train and still be told he was behind them

Makes me sad/angry thinking about it. It's the hope that kills you! X
Lesta Legend Posted 7 July 2017 Posted 7 July 2017 Awesome news. Maybe this might help Musa having a countryman in the team with him? One can hope. Vardy, Slimani, Iheanacho, Okazki, Ulloa, Musa front line if all are firing is a damn strong strikeforce.Ndidi has been here since Jan, also Nigerian. We'll likely move one maybe two out, Ulloa already unhappy about game time..

Dortmund were one European club (think both Milan clubs as well) interested in him and enquired about him.
