My Mahrez moment

"No one agrees" - you're the only person who said anything. I'd hardly say that constitutes as a wholesale disagreement with my statement.

The truth of the matter is, players come and go every year. I personally don't think Mahrez leaving deserves the doom and gloom it's getting.

On the contrary I'm actually excited to see what the game plan is going to be next season now we can't pass a long ball to Mahrez, watch him control it sublimely, and then watch hopelessly as he gets clattered by three players and ends up on the deck

For me it was that time he passed to one of his teammates. Unbelievable, i'd never seen him do that before (or since)

this. i swear we only bought slimani so he knew who to pass to.

when he sent them 3 villa down the shop with that turn was great to see, his goal against chelsea when i was front of the kop and i nearly fell over the barrier jumping up and taking out the disabled guy in front of me.

less said about this season the better. dont think ive seen him run.

To think he's taken an absolute hammering from some on here week in, week out this season. Some even saying we should get rid. Not had his best year but some of the criticism has been a joke.

Supported City since I was 7 and Riyad is the most exciting player I've seen in 25 years. Love the guy. Think some might appreciate him a lot more when he's gone.

It's unfortunate because it's mainly because teams have worked out if they just marked him out the game it complete nullified our attack, thing is the same things going to happen at any premiership team he goes to

He reached such heights last season that everyone expected the same, if not more, this. Which is unfair.

Anyhow, the best memory for me was Man City last year, of course. That's when I knew Leicester could win the league.

Phenomenal player, won't see many like him again. Thanks for the memories you beautiful Algerian bastard x

This break-up is going to hurt, isn't it? ??

Loved the nutmeg against Stoke, the strike against Chelsea, the one at Man City and the lovely soft layoff to Vardy at home to Man City.

Bloke behind me is always on Mahrez's case. The guy is a genius (Mahrez, not the bloke behind me).

A part of me will die inside if an Arsenal shirt clad Mahrez skins Simpson, sits Morgan on his arse and then spanks one into the top corner at the KP next season.

I was in C Block just above where Mahrez ran towards after scoring 'that' goal against Chelsea. Stunning, just stunning.

However, his equalizer against the Spuds ran it close :appl:

The pass to Vardy to put us 3-0 up against Man City this season was the best bit of skill I've ever seen live at a football match.

70 yard pass, on the move, half-volley, wet pitch and an inch perfect through ball.

The goal at home to Chelsea in the title winning season when he literally left Azpiluceta on his knees with his head in his hands. One of the best defenders in the league completely bamboozled.

Thank you Riyad !

It has to be Man City for me, in saying that everything that happened on that day made me think I was watching something special

Good luck to the guy, but please please please go abroad, I'd hate to see him in another Premiership Teams Shirt

Man City when you could see Hart thinking "That's not fair, he hit it with his right foot" as it whistled past him.

And Watford away when we needed to keep believing

Probably not quite my favourite but deserves more credit for sure. The way he delayed his shot just enough so as to get the ball past the defender here and against Chelsea is a small detail but it made all the difference.

The goal against Man C. I was in Australia at the time and watching it at 6.30am ...was I dreaming???

Since then I have watched the replay a 1000 times ...... that flick over the defender is sublime

So many moments. Has to be against Man City as his top one for me.

People really will only appreciate  him when he's gone. Just hope he goes abroad so I can be happy for him to do well!

Got to be the goal away at City. Remember watching them break up the City attack and Kante carrying it, offload to Mahrez and then watching Mahrez put Otamendi on the deck and cutting in for the shot - it felt like slow motion and I must have shouted "go on, fvcking go on" at least 10 times in that passage of play. Away end lost it.

His first touch for us put George Friend (think his debut was vs Boro) completely on his arse and looked effortless for him. Could tell from then he had the right stuff. Class player and we can only thank him for his excellent service to us as a club.
